My friend is felt drowsiness in the morning, she has low blood pressure conditions sometimes. Is this feeling of drowsiness is because of low bp? How can we take care of it?

MBBS, MD, DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Indore
Yes low bp can be one of the cause for drowsiness. FOR LOW B.P - 1. Eat a diet higher in salt. 2. To avoid problems with low blood pressure and lessen episodes of dizziness after meals, try eating smaller, more frequent meals. Cut back on carbohydrates. Rest after eating 3. Limit alcoholic beverages, Drink more fluids during hot weather and while sick with a viral illness, such as a cold or the flu. 4. Avoid heavy lifting. 5. Avoid prolonged exposure to hot water, such as hot showers and spas. If you get dizzy, sit down. 6. Get regular exercise to promote blood flow. 7. Be careful when rising from lying down or sitting. To help improve circulation, pump your feet and ankles a few times before standing up. Then proceed slowly. When getting out of bed, sit upright on the edge of the bed for a few minutes before standing. 8. Elevate the head of your bed at night by placing bricks or blocks under the head of bed. 9. Avoid straining while on the toilet. 10. Avoid standing still in place for long periods of time. For homeopathic medicine. Contact us.

I have a high bp condition, how can I keep a check on high bp. Im on telmisartan and amlodipine tabs. Kindly guide.

I have a high bp condition, how can I keep a check on high bp. Im on telmisartan and amlodipine tabs. Kindly guide.
Start walking daily for 40-45 minutes. Drink a lot of water. Cut down on intake of salty or fried food. Junk food and processed foods should be avoided. One should take raw vegetables and fruits daily. Yoga and pranayamas are very effective in bringing blood pressure levels to normal. For maintaining bp to normal homoeopathic treatment plays best role. No side effects.

I have very low Heart rate, its something between 38 to 45bpm when I am in rest position. Can you please advice what should I do. Is this a serious issue? What are the consequences? Thanks

Dear Lybrateuser, - Heart rate below 60 per min is slow (Brady cardia) but can be normal in a trained & fit athlete - if your heart rate persistently remains low then investigations are required & consult a cardiologist to rule out any problem - have a well balanced diet, plenty of oral fluids & do regular exercise.

Forget the past focus on the future. Avoid more stents. You require review of your Angio CDs, medicines and lifestyle. You have to meet a cardio and also do some research on correct meaning of phrase 'modern lifestyle'

As per cardiac point of view low fat diet is recommonded. But in case of CKD dependes what stage you belong. Some back ground needed for example diabetes/ hypertension and investigations ll determine your diet pattern as far as CKD is concerned.

Hello, Apart from meditation ,go for meditation to reduce stress in order to nourish your body conditioning the heart and to regularise your  digestive system, aswell. Tk, plenty of water ro hydrate your body. Your diet be easily digestible on time to avoid gastric disorder that triggers BP & raised heart rate. TK, low fats fluid milk (calcium, Beet juice, Hibiscus tea, Pomegranate juice (angiotensit II), Cranberry juice (anti inflamation & antioxidant ). All sorts of anti hypertensive medication be monitored. Avoid, junkfood, alcohol ,Nicotine and moving out in scorching Sun. I being a homoeopath would like to suggest to obey your physician in this regard. You can take homoeopathic medicine, being gentle,  rapid & safe in administration. Tk,  care.

Treat his hypertension, improve his diet. Too much modern restrictions worsen blockages. Better to give family traditional diet.
