Cyst must be functional. Or remnant of previous eggs. It will go naturally without any medicines. Just repeat USG after one month.

Hi doctor I have taken siphene 100 mg and ovulated on 16th day. Now am 8 weeks 2 days pregnant. Today only fetal heartbeat was visible in transvaginal scan and it is Brady. Fetal pole also visible today only. My doctor scheduled next appointment this Sunday. Am really scared because my doctor told the chances are very less for further growth. Please let me know whether my baby is growing well?

Hi lybrate-user, sometimes miracles may happen. If bradycardia persists, it may not be a good sign. Sometimes nature knows better than us and takes care of non compatible lives. And sometimes growth and cycles are delayed. So keep fingers crossed. God is kind. And if you have conceived this time, it means next time also you will conceive. So stop worrying and Just get your scan done once again in Sunday. All the Best.

Hi, it might be because of implantation bleeding, which usually occurs this time. If ultrasound report is normal then just relax. Continue with whatever tablet your doctor has prescribed.

Hi, you don't need to worry. We being human has a chance of 10% per cycle for conception. And you had conceived previously so it's seems all is fine. No need of extra investigations. You should remember that ovulation occurs 14 days prior to next menses. So you should have intercourse around 13/15/17th day of you cycle. This should help you.

Hi, first three months avoid any kind of sexual activity. After 3 months are over you can go ahead with it but you have to use condom as semen contains prostaglandin and can cause uterine contractions.

Hi, no need to take pill as it's on 5th day of period. Usually 8 to 21 days you require protection.(this is roughly considering 28-30days cycles. Not same for all).

Whenever you get diagnosed with pregnancy register with your obstetrician. And follow standard protocols of visits and events as follows.
1. Early scan at 6 weeks for confirmation of pregnancy with routine blood tests. (hb, blood group, hiv, hbsag, hcv, vdrl, urine routine examination).
Medicines- folic acid 5mg once a day and doxinate tablet three times a day for vomiting
2. At 11 to 13.6 weeks- dual marker test with nt nb scan.
If you have crossed 12 weeks and no vomiting constipation then start iron calcium and protein supplementation.
Diet consultation should be done.
3. At 16 weeks get your first tetanus toxoid injection as per who. Some may prefer taking later.
4. At 18weeks- anomaly scan to be done. And prenatal classes can be started.
5. At 20 weeks- 2nd tetanus toxoid injection.
6. At 22 weeks- fetal 2d echo, if you are suffering from diabetes, heart problem, hypertension, previous baby having anomalies etc.
7. At 24 weeks- fasting and post prandial blood sugar levels or dipsi test. (dipsi test can be done at first visit also)
8. At 28 weeks- routine ultrasound with colour doppler. Repeat blood investigations. Get yourself booked with hospital. Take fluvac if not taken previously.
9. At 32 weeks- visit your doctor for routine check up and discuss regarding hospital and delivery.
10. At 36 weeks repeat scan for growth, lie, presentation, and fetal wellbeing.
11. At 37 weeks- pelvic adequacy to check whether you can go for normal delivery. It helps obstetrician and patient in ruling out whether fetal head can pass through pelvis or not. And decision making regarding trial of labour. This is s poo specific for primi patients.
12.36 weeks onwards weekly nst should be done to check fetal heart monitoring.

Disclaimer:
This is standard protocol what we follow in practice. Others may vary or defer with it. Depending on different practice scenario and academic patterns.

Its been 9 weeks since my last missed period. I suspect that I am 9 weeks pregnant. I have had a ultrasound done at 5 weeks which the doctor said was not pregnant. All my urine pregnancy tests turn up negative. I am overweight and have a lot of stomach fat. So in my case which is a better option to rule out pregnancy? Beta Hcg blood test or ultrasound?

Hi, if ultrasound saying no pregnancy then rest assured. To double check you can get beta HCG done. And if all normal then ask your gynaceologist to help you for withdrawl. Meet dietician, exercise and try to loose weight and get back in shape. It will help in regulating your menstrual cycles.

Hi, you need to see gynaecologist as per MTP law and get medicines or evacuation done. No one can prescribe medicine except those who are registered doctors and centres in person with required tests and proper valid written consents.

Hi, you need to see a gynaecologist and get examined and investigated, both of you. And that time you get counselling done regarding fertile period and how to go about it. Keep menstrual diary and calculate length of cycles. Minus 18 days from shortest cycle and 11 days from longest cycle. The period will show fertile period. or simply use I-can strips around day 13,14 of period to check ovulation and you can have timed intercourse. This you can try for 3-6months if everything is normal. All the Best! (And please avoid junk food, spirits and tobacco, If using )

Hi, first you need to dokegels exercise, it will help you out. In this exercise you try to pull your private parts inwards while deep breathing. This should help you. If this doesn't work then you can go for minor surgery like posterior colporrhaphy. All the best!

Natural ways to avoid pregnancy after having an unprotected sex within 5 days of having such sex.
Hi, natural ways work only with precautions. If you had intercourse in first and last week of period then remote chances are there. Natural ways are to calculate safe period which you can define by deducting 18 from shortest cycle and 11 from longest cycle. The time period will define duration when you need to have protection. After intercourse there is no natural way to avoid pregnancy (if happened around ovulation) but you have to take medicines.

Hi, you should get serum beta hcg test done for confirmation. Mostly it will be negative as you have irregular menses. Get yourself examined and do some blood investigations like serum fsh, lh, fasting insulin, thyroid and prolactin levels. Also pelvic ultrasonography should be done. This all will help you in getting to the roots of irregular menses. If everything is normal then your gynaecologist will prescribe you progesterone containing pills for withdrawl and do not forget ask for oc pills to regularise menses. And I pill can't be taken after 72 hours of intercouse. All the best!
