I suffered a fracture in Rt last finger that is proximal phalanx .Eventually it was treated but at the end of two months it was found that the finger has a tiny fracture on middle knuckle also .Since this fracture has been healed due to which now in PIP I am suffering from Swan neck deformity .How can it be treated.

I am 36 years old guy and week back I twisted and sprained my ankle. X-ray confirmed there is no fracture. Doctor prescribed cold therapy and infem tablet. Yesterday ankle developed bruising sign on it and it looks like internally blood accumulated or something. Can you help please.

Hello lybrate-user, Yes, in physiotherapy there is treatment for Bells Palsy. Muscle stimulation can be given on the origin of nerve. Fascial muscles action in form of contraction can be achieved. Exercises and objects like blowing rubber baloon and sipping through straw can help. Condition improves with every sitting. I hope this will help you.

I am 62 years old male. Suffering from backache with altered sensation over both anterolateral thigh. The impression is: Nerve conduction study reveals demyelinating sensory neuropathy involving bilateral femoral cutaneous nerves (left > right) suggestive of bilateral meralgia paresthetica. Now doctor has gives TAB PREGABA M at night and local injection. I have stopped using tight cloths. Pl guide. (2) my weight is 71.5 kgs and ht 161 cm. Pure vegetarian. What diet I should take to reduce weight.

Specific exercises should be started only with physiotherapist advice. Exercise and proper diet can reduce weight and increase flexibility. In physiotherapy machines like T. E.N.S and I. F. I have been experiencing pain on my left leg for more than six month now. It started like a joint and rheumatic pain with arthritis, I treated all this but I noticed that it has resulted into serious vein pain on the same leg. I always feel serious vein pain on the said leg from my left buttock to the my ankle. Kindly advice on how to treat this ailment and prescribed drugs as I have started bending to the right to avoid pressure on the left leg and can't walk fast and afraid of paralysis.

I deliver a baby girl on 27th Jan 2017. I have been experiencing joint pain and fatigue. My pelvic area also hurts. Once I am in a lying position it gets difficult to get up. Hello Rachel. Thank you for contacting. A detailed examination is required. It is a common problem after pregnancy. Mild exercise will help in reducing pain in joints. A proper technique should be followed for lying to sitting. Posture maintenance is very benificial. Physiotherapy is very effective for joints and pelvic floor strengthning. I have injured in my back by stairs my x-ray report is body of d4 are compressed, all iv discs are intact what is the meaning of this because there was not mention of fracture and what should I do after that already I took a appointment from a Dr. He gave me some rull that I do not pull down, do not ride cycle or bike etc. But after one week I am feeling pain.

Hello Avas. Thank you for contacting. It's good that no fracture is present. D4 is a vertebra level. You should take physiotherapy for compression relief. IV disc is a soft pad that is present between two vertebra. It's functional is in shock absorption. I hope this will help you.

Sir I am Male 56 yrs. Weight 72 height 5.9" and having lower back pain problem at waist. Not able to stand for more than 10 minute or bend forward. My B12 and D3 test showed less than min. Uric acid is also little higher .Dr. Has advised to take 10 injection of B12. And some medicine. Kindly advise whether I will be o.k. Or not?

Hello Mr Vivek. Thank you for contacting. You should go for a health check up. Prolonged sitting is bad for health. You should move around after every 30 minutes. A little walk can help. Stretching and strengthening of leg muscles can help. You should monitor your diet too. Eat balanced and at regular intervals. I hope this will help you.

Hello Mr Arun. Thank you for your question. In diabetes swelling of feet do occur. This is due to retention of fluid. Do some ankle foot exercises. Don't sit for long time. Do some walk after 30 minutes of sitting. Clean and moisturize your foot daily. I hope this will help you.

Hello Linu. Thank you for your question. There are stages of disc bulge. In last two stages surgery is required. In some cases physiotherapy can cure the problem by manual therapy. Some exercises in physiotherapy can help regain disc to its original position. I hope this will help you.

Hello Mr Sreekar. Thank you for contacting. Sometimes vibration and fluctuations in muscle of leg occurs. It may be due to low water and salt intake. Take some pich of salt add in water. Drink it if you sweat a lot. Also stretch your buttock and thigh muscles. I hope this will help you.

I have difficulty in walking. Calf pain, low backacts and foot drop. My reports says my (EHL is weak) DTR=Absent and according to MRI reports -FACET joint arthrosis is seen at L4-5 and L5-S1 with evidence of laminectomy. Non enhancing cystic lesion measuring at T12-4 level kinking of comes and splaying of nerve roots. L3-4 causing indentation of thread sad and narrowing of respective neural foramina.
