Tazarotene gel relatively a little harsh cream on face. Can cause irritation in sensitive skin. More over, scar is technically due to collagen destruction .collagen is replaced by fibrous structures in dermis (deeper layers of skin). So, usually creams don't help you out in treating the scars completely. Lasers, peels, other devices like mnrf, surgical procedures like subscission ,micro needling with prp etc usually gives you good results.

Tazarotene can be used in milder stable lesions. Combination with steroid would be better for active lesions that are very scaly, red and thick.

Unfortunately, there is no way to permanently shrink pores, but there are many ways to diminish their appearance for periods of time.
Both tretinoin and tazarotene prevent the build up of dead skin cells in the pores that make pores look bigger. Glycolic and TCA peels and SilkPeel also make an impact. IPL can give improvement and Fraxel Restore and even fractional CO2 improve pore size for months. You should vosit and discuss the pros and cons with your board certified dermatologist.

The skin produces a natural oil known as sebum from the sebaceous glands. This acts as a protective layer and is passed out through the multiple, minute pores. One of the skin s main functions is protection, and one of the ways it does that is by producing sebum.
