An antibiotic drug Widcef 1.5 GM Injection is a part of the class of medicines called cephalosporin. This broad spectrum antibiotic cures wide variety of infections that are caused by bacteria. It is used in the treatment of conditions such as acute or chronic bronchitis, tonsillitis, Lyme disease, Chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, pneumonia, laryngitis, sinusitis and urinary tract infections. Widcef 1.5 GM Injection intervenes in the bacteria’s process of forming cell walls. The cell walls of the bacteria are essential for their survival. It protects the contents of the cell from leaking out. This antibiotic damages the bond that keeps the cell wall in one piece. Therefore, Widcef 1.5 GM Injection causes holes to appear in the cell wall, making it impossible for the bacteria to survive. In this way, by destroying bacteria and inhibiting the reproduction of bacterial cells, the antibiotic is effective in eliminating bacterial infections.

It is possible to overdose on this medication.
