Ask concern incharge in the hospital, they will help you. Otherwise, wait for a month, it will show up, if no elevated lesion (reddish papule), then you can give BCG once more.

Bcg is given anywhere between first day of birth and one month. So no problem for your baby given after twenty days. Bcg is given as a prophylaxis to prevent tuberculosis (tb) in future. It is given on the left upper arm. After a period of one to three months a nodule forms at the site of injection, sometimes an abscess forms and it heals and ultimately a scar remains permanently. It is given intradermally.

Hi lybrate-user,
Don't worry if he did't get the vaccination scar. Scar will appear in most people vaccinated with BCG, but not everyone. If your child did't have this reaction to the vaccine, it does not mean that they have not responded to it. There's no need to re-vaccination.

Hello lybrate-user, some babies fail to develope scar after bcg vaccination esp. When given immediately after birth, but that does not mean that, she has not developed immunity, so no need to repeat vaccine.
