About Thyronorm 100Mcg Tablet

This medication is the primary hormone which is secreted by the thyroid gland. It plays an important role in controlling body metabolism. Regulates the functions of the heart and the digestive tract. It also keeps the bones strong, helps in the development of the brain and controls muscle growth.

    How does this medication work?

    This medication acts as an alternative to natural thyroxine hormone (T4) secreted by the thyroid gland. It gets converted into an active metabolite (T3) in the kidney and liver. The thyroid hormones combine with thyroxin-binding globulin and thyroxin-binding prealbumin to escalate solubility. This medication then combines with thyroid hormone receptors in the nucleus and cytoplasm.
