you are very right about normal range of tsh levels. At 8.5 milli units/ml, with normal t4, the condition is classified as sub- clinical hypothyroidism. This normally is not treated with any drugs. Gastric emptying time (means time our body takes to empty the stomach) is around 2 hrs. So you can take tablet immediately after food till 1 hrs or so. Better is to take withing half an hour of taking your food. Hope this helps.
