If depression is diagnosed by specialist, then bupropion will definitely help although first preference is given to other ssris depending on patient profile. But atomoxetine is not used for depression as 1st or 2nd line unless adhd symptoms are there along with depression. So amtalk to your psychiatrist and clarify your diagnosis first and why atomoxetine is added.

Your prescribing doctor will review response, monitor for any possible side effects and if appropriate will titrate up the dose gradually till there is effective control of your adhd symptoms.
