Looking at your age, it could be a neuralgia pain unrelated to the ear, but we would still need to make sure that your ear is completely dry and non-diaeased. I would suggest you to get a diagnosis first before taking any medicines.

Try taking high fibre diet, eat a lot of banana. Maybe that will help. Take the prescribed antibiotics for 5-7 days. I think this should help you.

Dear User, it will not be necessary to give it for a year. Once the UTI has subsided, then it can be stopped.
