It is very important to use artificial tears, otherwise there are high chances of exposure keratopathy and may even lose eye.
Use refresh tears 2hrly and refresh liquigel 3 times a day and once at night.
Use tape to close the eye, while sleeping. Consult ophthalmologist to look for amount of exposure while closing eye if cornea is exposed greater than 1/3 rd, you will have to undergo temporary tarsoraphy (closure of eyelids) to save the eye.
