Green tea is rich in antioxidants quercetin & epigallocatechin gallate. If you prepare it in correct manner, you can get all antioxidants from it. Also it is free from tannin (inhibitor that binds with nutrients in foods & hinders their absorption in our body) & has low caffeine content (3%). 2 cups per day (not empty stomach) is best. You may have a whole fruit/ nuts/ oilseeds/sprouts with it.

Onion is a good remedy for chest congestion. It has quercetin that helps dissolve the mucus. Plus, it prevents further buildup of mucus in the chest. Its antimicrobial properties also help prevent infection.
