About Pimoz 4Mg Tablet

Pimoz 4Mg Tablet belongs to a group of antipsychotic drugs. It works by inhibiting the production of dopamine, which is a chemical occurring naturally in the brain. It is used to treat patients suffering from schizophrenia.

The drug is administered when other medicines have proved ineffective. You cannot take this medicine:

  • if you are a patient of fluctuating potassium or magnesium levels in the blood, or have low blood pressure, or a condition of irregular heart rate
  • If you have a history of kidney or liver disorder, enlarged prostate, glaucoma in the eyes
  • if you are on drugs to control seizures or if you have a low count of white blood cells

The medicine can be taken orally, with or without food, as directed by the doctor. You must avoid grapefruit juice during the period of treatment, along with abstinence from alcohol, smoking, tobacco, and caffeine.

The medicine may weaken the immune system of the body, dizziness, sleepiness or high fever. It is advised to avoid driving after a dosage of the medicine.
