How to Use Orlistat capsules I have Orlistat capsules but I don't know how to use it.
Take orlistat during or within 1 hour after a meal that contains some fat (no more than 30% of the calories for that meal). Orlistat is usually taken 3 times daily. If you skip a meal or you eat a meal that does not contain any fat, skip your orlistat dose for that meal.

It has to be given only after doing your bmi and it is to be recorded every two weeks and if possible I will suggest you to do exercise regularly and eat a low fat content in your diet.

A) Take 30 ml of aloe vera juice along with 30 ml of bhrungarajasava and 30 ml of lukewarm water, at night before sleep. B) take 10 ml of fresh lemon juice and 10 gm of jaggary before meals. C) eat 5 gms of black cumin seeds along with 30 ml of lukewarm water after meals. Do all these things for 30 days…it gives you good result.

My age is 58, height 5'8" Weight 93 Kg. Which medicines should I take to reduce weight. At the age of 30 weight was 59 Kg. Constant for 10 years. At age of 40 it was 72 Kg. Foe 10 years. And 90 kg for last 8 years I am non diabetic, but hypertensive. Living a stressful life. Food habits breakfast Pohe/upama & 4 almonds at10 am, lunch 1 chapti/bhakari, 1 fruit veg like brinjal, lauki,1 leafy like palak, methi & usal of sprouts with curds 2 pm, Snacks 2 pigs/apple/banana, Dinner 1/2 bhakri, 2 veg. 1 small katori rice, daal. Take 1 cup tea without sugar in morning. Alcohol socially 2 pegs weekly. No non veg food ever. Walk 6 kms daily. Tried a lot to reduce by join gym, consulting endocrinologist, dietician. Taken Orlistat, Zerofat and ayurvedic medicines as advised by doctors. Could reduce 8 kg when reduced diet by 50% of above and walking 12 kms daily for 3 months, but it caused muscle loss too. The day I reduced walk to 6 kms and food to normal started gaining and gained 10 kg in 8 months. I want to reduce weight to have healthy retirement life. Please advice how can?

You have metabolic syndrome, because of which reducing weight in a healthy way becomes difficult. Losing weight by eating less is not sustainable. You also have hypertension to manage. You don't have to reduce food but eat right food. From description you have given about your food intake, I could see where you need to make better food choices and correct imbalance to improve metabolism. I would love to help you out but I need a detailed discussion session with you for explaining what and why you should bring those changes. Just to the addition in the knowledge loosing weight instantly is very unsafe in concern to the functioning of the organs and nutritional levels of the body as well, so it safe to follow the rule of slow and steady. Ideal loss per month should not be more than 2 kg else the bounce back is always visible with higher numerics For weight loss. It is important to take frequent meals at regular interval of time. Empty stomach try to include 2 tsp aleovera juice+ 2 tsp amla juice in equal amount of water. In Breakfast you can museli/oats+ milk+ 1 apple /1 bowl green moong dal sprouts/1-2 besan cheela+ green chutney. In mid morning 1 cup green tea + 1 bowl fruits. Lunch 1-2 wheat bran roti+ 1bowl veg+ 1 bowl salad/1 bowl veg daliya + 1bowl curd E.T:1 cup tea+ 1bowl roasted channa/murmura Dinner: 1 bowl fruits+ 1glass skimmed milk/Grilled/roasted paneer/1-2 bowl cooked yellow moong dal+ 1bowl veg. After Dinner Take 1 cup jasmine tea. Drink soy milk and lots of water. Take fish oil and salmon. Include more fiber in the diet. Use low fat milk, brown sugar, flax seed. Take good sleep. 10 minutes of sunlight for vitamin D.Avoid salt in the diet, caffeine, processed foods like instant noodles, pies, bread rolls, artificial sugar, diet coke, sweetener, spices and hot spicy foods.

Your cholesterol and triglyceride levels are high and you also want to lose weight. Orlistat is the medicine which is prescribed for weight loss. However in my experience it is not a very effective medicine. At best you will be able to lose around 5kg and that too will not be a sustained loss because you would regain weight once this medicine is stopped. Our body maintains its weight in a range bound fashion. It tries to keep the weight within a strict range. So whenever we lose weight, our body interprets it as a sign of weakness and tries to bring back the weight back to the same original as for the body it is the normal weight. For our body or appearance does not matter-appearance is a social parameter, not a physiological parameters. Job of our body is to maintain physiology not a social appearance. A sustained a loss of weight is only possible if you have a persistent and consistent weight loss so that the entire range of your weight decreases and your body respects it. Hye, thanks for the query. There is no shortcut to weight loss. In case you lose weight it mostly is muscle loss because you are depending only on medication. Some people do get reaction to medication leading to hormonal disturbances. Once you discontinue the medication you will have a rebound weight gain. Firstly it is important to understand that weight /fat loss involves sensible eating. You have to eat the right foods at the right time. Eat small but frequent meals. Reduce your main meals by 1/4th the amount. Take a glass of lime water 10minutes before meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Lastly be committed. Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing. It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. All the so called diets will only give you muscle and bone loss. The fats will remain as it is. So, try to first follow this seemingly simple tips.

why do with medicines when u can do with life styles ....change with exercise /lot of water /balanced nutrition 15% CHO, 35% Proteins and 50 % fiber ........your body what u eat ....believe and lose 2 lbs every week
