Hello lybrate-user. Conjunctivitis may occur due to various causes. Let me enumerate them in brief:
(1) allergy
(2) bacterial infection
(3) viral infection
(4) fungal infection
(5) systemic conditions
based on the cause for your conjunctivitis, it would be a better idea to prescribe you treatment. Still, as a broad spectrum, use the following:
(a) tobramycin eye drops 4 times in a day.
(b) lubricant eye drops every 2 hours.
(c) keep washing your eyes thoroughl...more

Dear Lybrate reader conjunctivitis is an uncommon symptom of corona. But isolation is advisable in view of the prevailing corona infection.
You can use tobramycin eye drops--one drop every 4 hours for 3 to 5 days.
If the conjunctivitis subsides then corona infection is unlikely-
history of travel /contact with corona patients if present -you contact health care provider and get tested for corona.

Most likely it's congenital nasolacrimal duct blockage. Ek tear drainage ka natural raaste hota hai Jo bachon mein khula nahin hota and opens by itself in the first 6-12 months. U need to go to an eye specialist /ophthalmologist and he will just see and rule out other conditions and tell you to do massage. For the time being you can start using eye drop tobramycin one drop 4 times a day. Do not worry it's most likely nld block only which is not a disease but a normal condition.
