About Nurokind-G 100 mg/500 mcg Tablet
This tablet is a prescriptive drug primarily used to prevent seizures. It belongs to a class of drugs called anticonvulsants. Aside from seizures, this medicine is also used to cure hot flashes, restless legs syndrome (RLS) and postherpetic neuralgia. It treats nerve pain in adults by affecting the chemicals and nerve responsible for these pains and seizures.

How does this medication work?
This tablet works via a dual mechanism and is a combination of two medicine which includes Gabapentin and Methylcobalamin. It is used for the treatment of neuropathic pain. Gabapentin works by binding to the calcium channels and increases the concentration of GABA and reduces the release of monoamine neurotransmitters, thus reduces the excitability of brain cells and helps to treat convulsions. Methylcobalamin acts as a cofactor for enzyme methionine synthase, which transfers methyl groups for the regeneration of methionine from homocysteine.
