On application, this medication may temporarily burn or string your eyes for the next 1-2 minutes. Eye redness and headache may also occur. If more serious side effects like eye swelling, vision changes, eye pain, eye discharge or extreme watering occur then call for medical help immediately.

To ensure this medication is safe for you inform your doctor if you have bleeding problems, diabetes, previous eye surgery, other eye problems, rheumatoid arthritis, nasal polyps or asthma.
