    How does this medication work?

This cream is primarily an antifungal medication. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol which is an important component of the fungi cell membrane by inhibiting cytochrome P450 14-alpha-demethylase enzyme. Also, it inhibits the production of the DNA Gyrase enzyme in the bacteria. It prevents the bacteria from synthesizing DNA and multiplying. As a result, the bacterial infection does not spread and the immune system can effectively fight it. Lastly, it works by inhibiing the formation, release, and migration of chemical mediators like kinins, histamine, liposomal enzymes, and prostaglandin. It also decreases inflammation by inhibiting the migration of leukocytes and reducing the permeability of capillaries.
