This medication works by relaxing both vascular smooth muscles and skeletal muscles. It demonstrates a variety of effects such as improvement of circulation, reduction of myotonia and suppression of the pain reflex. This improves tinnitus and dizziness associated with certain other disorders.

This medication should be carefully administered in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any medication, or with liver disorders. It is not considered safe for use in pregnant women, women who are breastfeeding and in young children.
