All treatments for hairfall or baldness are temporary as it is caused by hormones and hormones can never be removed from body. But regular use of these medications can defeinitely arrest hairfall and imrpove hairgrowth. Minoxidil may sometimes increase if you already have dandruff. Finasteride has some side effects and not regularly given to all.

Minoxidil + Finasteride is much better. I have used Aminexil in many patients after initially it came out but the results are similar to plain minoxidil.

You can try minoxidil and finasteride solution to grow a beard. Unless you have hair follicles genetically in the beard area, the beard may not come out well.

You need to use both drugs and ideally it is not advisable to take it for too long and you can better stop it.
