you are very right about normal range of tsh levels. At 8.5 milli units/ml, with normal t4, the condition is classified as sub- clinical hypothyroidism. This normally is not treated with any drugs. You can use deriphyllin retard. More specific treatment is ics+ laba (foracort or budamate) inhalation over 12 weeks. Azithromycin 500 mg od for 5 days. Prior to use of foracort spirometry should be done, and if the results shows reversibility, you should proceed with ics+laba inhalation.

there is no method to eliminate ingested deriphyllin but it should not cause any significant side effects
