Mephentermine is a sympathomimetic agent with specificity for alpha-1 adrenergic receptors. It is used to maintain BLOOD PRESSURE in hypotensive states such as following SPINAL ANESTHESIA.
Adverse Drug Reactions. Drowsiness, incoherence, hallucinations, convulsions, slow heart rate (Reflex Bradycardia). Fear, anxiety, restlessness, tremor, insomnia, confusion, irritability, and psychosis. Nausea, vomiting, reduced appetite, urinary retention, dyspnea, weakness.

Its not safe, its an emergency drug used in ot when patients bp fall during spinal anaesthesia. Its stimulates sympathetic system. Never use it by your own.
