About Medistat 0.5Mg Tablet

Medistat 0.5Mg Tablet falls under a category of drugs known as benzodiazepines. It is given to children before any medical procedure or anesthesia. It helps to reduce anxiety and induce feelings of sleep. This medication helps to calm the brain and the central nervous system.

On using Medistat 0.5Mg Tablet you may experience side effects such as skin rash, vomiting, double vision, drooling, mood swings, chest pain, restlessness, irregular heartbeat, anxiety, sleepiness, slurred speech and headache. Should your reactions persist or become severe over time contact your health care provider right away.

Before using this medication tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of the ingredients contained within Medistat 0.5Mg Tablet, you have severe mental/ liver/ kidney problems, you have glaucoma, you are already taking any prescription or non-prescription drugs, you have breathing problems, you have a history of drug abuse, you are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding a baby.

The dosage for this medication should be ideally prescribed by your doctor based on your medical history and current condition. The usual dose in adults for sedation is 0.07-0.08 mg given by IV infusion an hour before surgery.
