The choice of medication depends on various factors such as the patient's medical history, current medications, and individual response to treatment. It ...more

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have seen the the details mentioned, where there is no mention of actual glucose levels and HbA1c%, dietary details, extent of daily physical activity, seum creatinine and urea levels, BP readings and lipid profile. Unless specifics are known there is no way to give any suggestions. Please do come back with necessary information then I will be able to advise. Thanks.

Hello, Thanks for the query As you are on certain drugs your body gets adapted to those compounds. Therefore, some times the change in compound between similar drugs may nt give desired results. Trigenta is Linagliptin and Januvita is Sitagliptin, even though both have similar action, dosage is different. So there is a possibilty of different response. Results may improve over a period. You might ask your physician about it. There are still better options for stricter control like GLP! analogues...more

It is safe. The new medicine does not cause low sugar levels but it potentiates the effect of the other medicine. Hence, you should be careful to avoid low sugar levels.
