About JOJO PLUS 50MG/500MG TABLET

An opioid agonist, JOJO PLUS 50MG/500MG TABLET works as a pain reliever, providing relief from both moderate and severe pain. Similar to endorphins, it binds to the receptors in your body. These receptors will decrease the pain messages that your body generally sends to the brain when you are in pain.

The medicine has to be taken orally and is available in three forms - an immediate-release tablet, an extended-release tablet and a capsule. This medicine can be taken as a combination therapy, where you take it along with other medications for your treatment.

Your doctor will decide the dosage of JOJO PLUS 50MG/500MG TABLET and ensure that you follow the instructions. You must not take the medicine in more than the amount prescribed or longer than the prescribed period.

This medicine can be taken with food or without it, but you must take it in the same way every day. The medicine must be swallowed wholly, without trying to crush, break or mixing it in water. As it is a pain reliever, it is unlikely that you will miss a dose. In case you do, refrain from taking two doses together to make up for the missed one.

Overdose of JOJO PLUS 50MG/500MG TABLET can have severe side effects including extreme drowsiness, fainting, slow breathing or heart rate and cold/clammy skin. You must avoid taking JOJO PLUS 50MG/500MG TABLET if you :

  • Have an allergy to it or any of the ingredients in it,
  • Have a stomach or intestinal blockage,
  • Have consumed alcohol recently
  • Are under narcotic medications.

Your doctor must be informed about whether you have a history of metabolic disorders, alcohol addiction and epilepsy. You must also inform the doctor about any prescription of antibiotic and antifungal medicines.

If self-administered, use exactly as directed (do not increase dose or frequency); may cause physical and/or psychological dependence. Take with food or milk. Maintain adequate hydration (2-3 L/day of fluids unless instructed to restrict fluid intake).

While using this medication, do not use alcohol and other prescription or OTC medications (especially pain medications, sedatives, antihistamines, or cough preparations) without consulting prescriber.

Report severe unresolved constipation; difficulty breathing or shortness of breath; excessive sedation or increased insomnia and restlessness; changes in urinary pattern or menstrual pattern; muscle weakness or tremors; or chest pain or palpitations.
