So if you are in the habit of drinking before dinner or with dinner, then change your dinner timings, the company you have dinner with, the place you have dinner in (you can have it out), the kind of dinner you have etc. Once the conditioning is altered, the association is also affected. Chicken is lean protein so it is good for the body and does no harm. So you can include it any time you want. Alcohol is empty calories. And it is either made of malt or grains. They can give a spike to your blood sugar. Avoiding it completely is the best solution, but if you really feel like drinking then 1 peg with no added sugary drinks to it can be consumed. Do not snack fried food with it. Do mainly salads n nuts with it.

Dear lybrateuser,
-It is better to avoid alcohol if you do not take, as after starting it becomes a habit & the intake also keeps increasing
-it adds only empty calories to the diet which can increase weight along with the snacks which one has, also increases body & blood fat which is harmful for the body .
