Hello. The darkening of the skin in the axilla and the private parts relate to many causes. Few a times it can be due to long standing infections, either fungal or bacterial, which will mild, asymptomatic, yet causing pigmentations. 1.Apply fresh lemon juice with a cotton ball on the affected area ,leave it for 15-20 minutes wash it off with water. Repeat the process twice daily for few months
2.Massage vitamin E oil into affected area for 10 minutes twice daily for few week
3.Mix one tsf of turmeric powder and one tsf of lemon juice. Apply it on affected area, leave it for 20 minutes, rinse it off with water. Continue it daily for few weeks.

You can try creams and soaps that contain kojic acid, glutathione, aplha-arbutin, licorice extract, mulberry extract, and Vitamins C, E, and B3.
You can also go for lightening creams containing hydroquinone, but make sure that the concentration does not exceed to 2%.Its best to see a nearby dermatologist.

As per your query you have hyperpigmentation due to melasma. I would suggest you to :-
- Apply broad spectrum sunscreen whenever under sun exposure.- Wash your face twice daily with mild soap and cold water.-Apply kojic acid cream after washing face twice a day.- Exfoliate your skin twice a week to remove dead skin.
