Dear lybrate-user
Thank you for connecting on this platform. Clonazepam is an SOS medicine after stability of transitory high intensity symptoms. And no, withdrawal does not cause death. My statement of No would act as temporary reassurance to you because Health anxiety is basically catastrophizing the least probable as most probable situation which requires mild medicine dosage but effective psychotherapy sessions. I hope you doing that, if not please get in touch with us and would be glad ...more

Dear Lybrate user
the symptoms you are experiencing are suggestive of anxiety spectrum. However, self medication with clonazepam doesn't seem to be a wise option. With proper history and examination, a psychiatrist will be better able to help you considering a similar family history in your mother.
Hope this helps!

Colapam plus is an ssri used in depressive disorders and allied mental health conditions. I hope you have stopped this medicine through systematic manner of systematic tapering as advised by your psychiatrist. Withdrawal symptoms include nausea, agitation anxiety etc. As the case is psychiatric, psychiatric medicines can help you and you s consult your psychiatrist. Drink plenty of water and fruit juices, exercise vigorously, engage in entertaining activities. Cbt nay also help you. Take care.

Dear lybrate-user,
Its can be very upsetting if you have anxiety and depression, I can understand how you maybe feeling. Anxiety and depression medication are helpful in healing you cope but you would need support in the form of counselling and therapy. I would even suggest clinical hypnotherapy for your condition. Its important to get to the core issue, where tgis began and why. Pls try to practise deep breathing and praṇayam till then. I Hope you feel better soon.

Dear Deepak,
Amitriptyline takes 2-3 weeks to start its action. It works only at a particular dose that will be built every 2-3 weeks by your doctor. If you still don't respond, the doctor will shift to more effective drug. You don't need clonazepam at this young age of 21 years.

This seems to be a case of focal seizures and the triggering factor is either prolonged exposure to light or stress. Avoidance of the triggering factors is of prime importance. You have been prescribed clonazepam and that's quite apt.
As said this is best cured by avoidance of precipitating factors and taking medications when they do occur.
Take care.

Dear sir,
nocturnal myoclonus can be very disturbing and cause restless sleep.
I would like to know your physical activity and movement details during daytime.
Relaxation techniques before sleep can help calm your mind and enable a peaceful sleep.
But a detailed history taking will help understand your issue properly and find a best solution to it.
Hope the answer helps.
