Gencin B Drop is a blend of two drugs which are Betamethasone and Gentamicin. Gentamicin is an antibiotic drug which performs its action by stopping bacterial development in the eye by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

The bactericidal activity of gentamicin depends on an irreversible hindrance of bacterial protein amalgamation. Gentamicin evokes quick bacterial activity by acting legitimately on the bacterial ribosome, where it disturbs the typical cycle of ribosomal work. Moreover, gentamicin incorporates misreading of the hereditary code of the mRNA format, prompting consolidation of inaccurate amino acids into the developing polypeptide chain. Betamethasone sodium phosphate is an intense glucocorticoid steroid with mitigating and immunosuppressive properties.
