Usually the drug mentioned is taken to reduce excess uric acid from the blood. Plus if a person has symptoms of joint pains and swelling with high uric acid. Unless those details are given there is no way to give any advice. Thanks.

For acute exacerbations take nsaid's. Febustat is only for reducing uric acid level and takes many weeks for it to act.
