About Ducaine Tablet

Ducaine Tablet is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug which works by reducing hormones responsible for pain, fever, stiffness, swelling and inflammation in the body. It is used to treat moderate to severe gouty arthritis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis. It also treats shoulder pain caused by tendinitis or bursitis.

If you have a heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, or if you smoke, do not use this medicine. Before using this medicine inform your doctor if you have a history of heart attack, stroke, blood clot, stomach ulcers, liver or kidney disease, asthma or fluid retention. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant while using Ducaine Tablet. You should not breast-feed while using this medicine. It is also not recommended for use by anyone younger than 14 years old.

This medicine can cause a few side effects including changes in your vision, shortness of breath, swelling or rapid weight gain, skin rash, bloody or tarry stools, coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds, liver problems, kidney problems, anemia or severe skin reaction.

This medicine comes in regular capsules, liquid form, extended-release capsules and suppositories. A typical dose for osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis is 75 mg, taken two or three times a day.

    How does this medication work?

    Ducaine Tablet is an analgesic anti-inflammatory agent. It competitively inhibits Cyclooxygenase 1 and 2, inhibiting formation of prostaglandins involved in fever, pain, and inflammation. It also inhibits arachidonic acid formation from phospholipids.
