Mr. Lybrate-user, if one has well controlled diabetes then fasting sugar should be closer to 100mg and pp should be 150 to 160 mg/100 ml and hba1c% <7. If you have maintained these readings consistently then diabetes is in control. With that one is able to prevent or postpone the long term complications of diabetes, which are very serious. You have not given all the details to give any suggestions. Plus there is no mention about fasting, pp sugar levels, hba1c%, dietary pattern and extent of daily exercise. Without these details it is difficult to give any suggestions. As regards the combination drug that you are taking, voglibose in that is supposed to be taken with the food. Glimepiride before food and metformin is ideally after food but can be taken earlier too. I prefer to give voglibose separately along with food.

You can take amaryl mc 2 instead of azulix mf 2/0.2 and both the tablets are same with different brand names. There is a mild increase only 0.1 mg of voglibose in azulix mf 2/0.2.

Hi sir, Thanks for your query. Your question is wrong. You are suffering from Type 2 Diabetes. Medicine can be suggested only after we know the blood sugar levels, HbA1c & some other tests. Thanks.

Your husband may require insulin for better control along with oral drugs, diet control and regular exercise. Please get a Diabetologist consultation nearby as early as possible so as to avoid any complication in future.

I am a patient of bp since 1998 and diabetes since 2008, taking medicine. Tab coversyl 4 mg and azulix 2 mf.

Having diabetes makes high blood pressure and other heart and circulation problems more likely, because diabetes damages arteries and makes them targets for hardening (atherosclerosis). Atherosclerosis can cause high blood pressure, which if not treated, can lead to blood vessel damage, stroke, heart failure, heart attack, or kidney failure. You can consult me in private for detailed treatment which is available in biochemic system of medicine depending upon symptomatically. Eatng lots of garlic. If you cant have it get it homeopathically allium sativum (biochemic) nat phos, avoid all types of fats and red meat. (biochemic) kali dichrom, bio combination number 7, (homeo) gymnema sylvestre, syzygium jambolanum. Its for diabetes.
