You can. The point is why would you want to give medicine for cold. Cold is a viral infection which will go away on it’s own. Allow your child’s immunity to fight it. It will improve her resistance to such common infections. Use medication only if she is in genuine discomfort or developed a fever.

Do steam inhalation and warm saline gurgling 2-3 times daily,put otrivin nasal drop one drop three times daily.Take one tablet of sinarest twice daily.If no relief you have to take antibiotic.Consult for advice

First line of drug for fever is paracetamol only. These are antipyretic and anti-inflammatory medicines
combinations of paracetamol and ibuprofen are available eg combiflam, ibugesic plus.

Hello lybrate-user. If it's NS1 positive then you need to be cautious. Monitor platelet count regularly. Watch out for any rash or red patches on skin, black stools, bleeding gums, chest pain and shortness of breath. All the pain killers should be avoided in dengue as they can cause gastrointestinal tract bleeding. You may use paracetamol as it has more antipyretic action than anti inflammatory action. 1.Do Warm saline gurgling and steam inhalation with karvol plus inhalant capsule 2-3 times daily.
2.put otrivin nasal drop one drop thrice daily.
3.Take Honitus syrup 2 tsf 2-3 times daily.
4.If no relief, you have to take antibiotic.
