You can help yourself by deciding that you can get rid of it. Gradually reduce the dose of zolpidem with a gap of 3 days and stop ultimately. Please do not try any other medicine at its place.

Hi lybrate-user
yes, zolpidem do cause memory problems especially retaining whatever you study. Paroxitine is quite safe in this aspect and in itself capable of inducing sleep and relieving anxiety, so it can be taken in long term too, especially if it helps you in tackling anxiety. So, ask your psychiatrist to help you get rid of zolpidem.
I wish you stay healthy and happy!

Some tablets or capsules are designed to release the medicines quickly after taking them, and crushing or opening them should not cause any significant problems. If you crush, chew or break your medicine without getting advice first, it could release all of the active ingredients into your body at once.
