1. Is he already on any uric acid lowering agents? Like allopurinol/febuxostat
2. Is he is having recurrent flares - ideally uric acid loweing drugs should be stopped and he must take colchicine/indomethacine for pain relief. 3. After acute flare is resolved, uric acid lowering agents can be restarted
gout is most commonly due to metabolic syndrome and dies need correction of metabolic abnormalities with medications
in case of assistance with treatment, msg me his reports of Lybrate.

The best treatment of gout consists of restoring the balance of vata (air element) and detoxifying the blood. High protein diet should be avoided in cases of increased uric acid. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Take maha yograj guggul 1-1 twice a day. Kaishor guggulguggul and chandraprabha vati 1-1 twice a day. Avoid junk food. Fermented food. Spicy food. Tea.
