Asked for male, 65 years old from Pathanamthitta
Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query.
Pulse rate of 55 to 65 per minute is absolutely normal. I do not understand why you have felt this as a problem. In healthy and fit individuals, more so who are regularly doing exercise or involved in some sports activities, pulse rate at rest is usually low. That only shows that the heart has extra capacity to supply more blood if needed in strenuous activity. However, it is better if BP is maintained around 130/ 80 mm Hg.
Any idea what is the TSH level? If you are feeling fine there is no reason to worry. Thanks.
