I am 19. My voice is heavy and rough .what should I do. I think its a reason of drinking milk daily from years. Help me to get a good voice.

The third stage of male puberty occurs around age 13 or 14, but frequently as early as 11 or late as 16. Pubic hair begins to grow darker and fuller, and the penis now begins to grow in length. The testicles continue growing, erections become commonplace and the boy gains in height at a rate of over 3 inches (7.6 centimeters) a year. The voice may begin "breaking" or "cracking." This is when the boy's voice suddenly and uncontrollably changes pitch mid-word or sentence, due to the growth of the larynx and the lengthening of the vocal cords. Stage four of male puberty commonly takes place when a boy is around 14 or 15 years old. Hair begins showing up in the armpits and on the face, and pubic hair begins to grow coarse. The boy's voice will even out and become deeper. The stage-four boy can use this deeper voice to yell forcefully at the mirror when he sees his new acne, due to his ever-more-oily skin. He begins to grow taller and even faster, at about 4 inches (10.2 centimeters) a year. The penis now grows thicker and continues to lengthen.

Pain in the scrotum can be the result of serious conditions like testicular torsion or a sexually transmitted infection (STI). Ignoring the pain may cause irreversible damage to the testicles and scrotum. Often, problems with the testicles cause abdominal or groin pain before pain in the testicle develops. Happy to help you.

I have appendicitis taking treatment and is it ok to do abs exercises? Will it burst? Consulted doctor told me.

I have appendicitis taking treatment and is it ok to do abs exercises? Will it burst? Consulted doctor told me.
Walking is a safe way to restart your activity after surgery. Although it is not generally thought of as an abdominal exercise, walking while paying attention to your posture strengthens your abs passively and safely. With your doctor's clearance, you can begin more focused exercises. Sit on the edge of a chair or bed and steady yourself with your hands. Slowly lift one leg at a time, with your knees bent. Repeat this 12 to 15 times on each leg. As you gain more strength, progress to lifting both legs simultaneously. If you have more queries you can consult me. I have a good plan for you thank you.

For most outdoor activities, good old-fashioned tap water does the trick. If your activity lasts an hour or more, either fruit juice diluted with water or a sports drink will provide carbohydrates for energy plus minerals to replace lost electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium) in your sweat. Sports drinks like gatorade, powerade, and all sport can give you a needed energy boost during your activity. They are designed to rapidly replace fluids and to increase the sugar (glucose) circulating in your blood. Read the label to determine which sports drink that is best for you. Ideally, it will provide around 14 grams of carbohydrates, 28 mg of potassium, and 100 mg of sodium per 8-ounce serving. The drink's carbohydrates should come from glucose, sucrose, and/or fructose -- all of which are easily and quickly absorbed. It shouldn't be carbonated, as the bubbles can lead to an upset stomach. Most sports beverages are well-diluted and contain relatively few calories. If the flavor of a sports drink helps you drink up and maintain hydration, by all means enjoy. If you're worried about the added calories, try diluting your sports drink with water or pouring it into a thermos packed with ice.

I wake up at 4 am for exercise and after exercising half an hour I again sleep so my question is that will it help me to be fit or sleeping after exercise is not good and don't help to be fit.

Sleeping right after a workout may promote weight loss. Working out builds muscle, and increased muscle mass results in a faster metabolism -- this helps you burn calories faster, which can help with weight loss. While you sleep your body burns fat more efficiently than when you are awake, so you get double the benefits.  But in your situation Try to sleep in night 8 hrs After a exercise. Better.

Hi dear Getting a good night’s sleep requires more than just going to bed on time. Try following these five sleep tips to give yourself the best chance of getting consistent, quality sleep each night. And if you feel like you’re doing everything you can to get a good night’s sleep but no longer have the energy to do the things you love, there might be more to the story. Sleep apnea affects more than 1 in 3 men and 1 in 6 women between age 30–70, with most people being undiagnosed. 1 Talk to your doctor and ask about a sleep apnea test – which can be done in a sleep lab or the comfort of your own home. Allocate enough time for sleep. Sleep is just as important as diet and exercise, so it’s important to allocate the right amount of time in your day for sleep and plan the rest of your schedule accordingly. Getting a good night’s sleep means 7–8 hours each night for adults (including older adults), 9–10 hours for teens, at least 10 hours for school-aged children and 11–12 hours for preschool-aged children. Create consistent sleep habits. As creatures of habit, we’re usually more successful when following a routine. Sleep is no different. From your pre-sleep ritual to going to bed and waking up at the same time, you’ll find that consistency makes it easier to fall asleep each night. Create a comfortable sleep environment. Make sure your bedroom is cool, quiet and comfortable – especially your bed. It may take some experimenting and an investment on your part, but finding an ultra-comfortable bed and pillow is invaluable. We spend one-third of our lives in bed, making it the one area of your life you don’t want to compromise on comfort. Turn it off before bed. Whether it’s television, reading, email or texting, give yourself a nice window of time to unplug and relax before bedtime. Your body should associate your bed with sleep and these activities ramp up your brain activity rather than relaxing it. Television and bright light can also suppress melatonin production – making it difficult to fall asleep. Utilize sleep technology. There are a variety of technologies out there that can help improve your sleep. The  S+ by ResMed is the world’s first non-contact sleep sensor; it combines a bedside sleep monitor, smartphone app and web-based app to help you track and better understand your sleeping patterns. It then creates personalized feedback and suggestions to help improve your sleep.

Which medicine to take during cough and cold. I have severe problem please suggest me the best medicine.

Which medicine to take during cough and cold. I have severe problem please suggest me the best medicine.
Hi dear, Traditional remedies might help relieve common cold discomfort, too. Drink plenty of liquids, including chicken soup. It can make you feel better. To relieve a sore throat, gargle with warm salt water, use throat sprays, and suck on ice or lozenges. Try a saltwater nasal rinse. These can help with a stuffy or runny nose. Use petroleum jelly on your nose if it’s irritated from constant blowing. Facial tissues with added lotions can help prevent, and heal, redness and soreness. Use a humidifier to help break up phlegm. Do what you can to make yourself as comfortable as possible, and rest while your body fights the cold virus.

Hi dear, if still you have any queries consult me. Good luck read below. It is very common to sense your heart beat while lying in bed - rarely is it anything serious, but certainly this sensation will be aggravated if your blood pressure is high. If your blood pressure is normal, it most likely is not a cause of concern. It may also be intensified by any heightened" catecholamine" release (for example, adrenaline) state, such as caffeine consumption, anxiety, fear, etc.

Heart Palpitations May Get Their Start in Perimenopause While there are no hard statistics on how many menopausal women experience heart palpitations, Portman estimates that 25 to 40 percent of women going through menopause will develop them. They tend to be even more common in women going throughperimenopause, the four years or so preceding menopause. “That’s when hormones seem to fluctuate the most,” Portman says. However, it’s unclear whether the hormonal changes that come with menopause are directly related to the development of heart palpitations. Portman says studies have shown that epinephrine and norepinephrine, the neurotransmitters that regulate heart rate and blood pressure, tend to fluctuate in menopausal women. These neurotransmitters might one day be a target for specific treatment of heart palpitations associated with menopause.

Why do the doctors advice to put strips of wet clothes on the four head of the person having temperature.

Why do the doctors advice to put strips of wet clothes on the four head of the person having temperature.
It doesn't cure the fever. That part is mediated by your brain. It does help though! water, though, is a pretty incredible molecule. The reason that you sweat is that water is able to absorb an incredibly large amount of heat energy, and the act of the sweat evaporating literally removes heat from the body. The theory with placing a cool, wet cloth on the forehead not only makes the febrile person more comfortable, but it helps absorb the heat produced by the body as the water evaporates. This is why the best treatment for heat exhaustion is to place the patient in front of a fan and misting them with water; this action mimics the body's natural sweat response and helps to bring their body temperature back down to a more acceptable level.

How much mango should we eat daily. My husband eats 2-3 mangoes daily will it increases his weight.

How much mango should we eat daily. My husband eats 2-3 mangoes daily will it increases his weight.
Hi lybrate-user The important thing is that you need to be in your calorie limit. - If you eat more calories than your daily calorie needs, you will gain weight.  - If you don’t exceed your daily calorie limit, then you will not gain weight. - If you are replacing some of the less-healthy foods you eat with mangoes, it may help you lose weight. Mangoes are good for health when you eat two to three in a day. A medium-sized ripe mango has about 135 calories. Let's say, you are eating 5 meals a day then you can replace one of your meals with 3 mangoes (400 calories).

Can you please let me know Iron and Folic Acid Supplementation for woman age above 55 years of age.

MBBS
General Physician, Malappuram
Older adults need 400 mcg of folic acid every day for good health. But older adults need to be sure they also are getting enough vitamin b12. Too much folic acid can hide signs that a person is lacking vitamin b12. People older than 50 are at increased risk of not having enough vitamin b12. Folic acid-400 mcg iron needed-8 mg if you need any consultation ask me good luck.

Hi lybrate-user The kidneys  help control the amount of phosphate in the body. Extra phosphate is filtered by the kidneys and passes out of the body in the urine. If there is not enough phosphate, less is found in the urine. Kidneyproblems can cause high or low levels of phosphate in the urine. High levels of phosphate in the urine also may be caused by eating a meal high in phosphorus, having high levels of vitamin D in your body, or having an overactiveparathyroid gland. In your age, if you see mild phosphate trace do not wory its trace, if you need evaluation do 24 hr urine sample test for phosphate and show to me. Thank you.

I kissed my girl with mild chickenpox its the 4th day and they began to dry i've had chickenpox once in childhood will I also get chickenpox from her?

MBBS
General Physician, Malappuram
Hi lybrate-user usualy chickenpox is infective till 7 days if you kiss you can get, but here you already have a immunity from your chicken pox. So it is practically zero chance to get you the infection. (recurrence of chickenpox is possible, but uncommon. One episode of chickenpox usually means lifelong immunity against a second attack. However, people who have had mild infections may be at greater risk for a breakthrough, and more severe, infection later on particularly if the outbreak occurs in adulthood.)
