Hi. I feel aggressive, want to scream loudly or hit someone, when I can not accomplish my deadlines. Also I feel numbness or as if ants biting on my feet whenever I confront someone on point of disagreement. I am taking medicines since January 2017 due to depression. My doctor is giving me Quel SR 200 from past 6 months. But still sometimes I feel aggressiveness, sadness and that numbness. What else shud I do to cure myself fully .And My doctor said he will stop all medicines gradually by month of May as I might shift abroad. Is it safe to stop the treatment fully.

Dear Lybrate-user, I do understand how you have been disturbed by your own uncontrollable behaviors. Fortunately you are well aware of that. You do need psycho-social intervention by a psychologist or psychological counselor. You can discuss this with your psychiatrist who can guide in this line.

According to what standards you have decided the minimum or maximum requirements of penis? Try to find answer to this question. No doubt you are travelling on a wrong path. It is not the size of the penis that satisfy a woman sexually, but the firmness of erection, duration of pelvic movement, love and affection on the partner and other psychological and situational factors play crucial role in it. Stop measuring at once and concentrate on other aspects of life. You will feel free from the self-made prison.

Someone I knew was suicidal and his doctor had prescribed me Pexep 12.5 mg. I looked up this medicine, it had side effects and one of them was suicidal thoughts. My question is, when she (the doctor) knew that her patient was struggling with this, why did she give her a medicine that threatens the very thing she is trying to conquer? She was suffering from OCD and some signs of BPD as well.

We know that traveling my motor vehicle may cause accidents, and we witness such things everyday around us. Do we avoid motor vehicles? We can't. Because we also know that not everyone using motors will meet with accidents. Likewise, the effects of a particular medicine doesn't happen for everyone who takes it. It is only a negligible no. of persons out of thousands who are used as research participants. Nothing to worry about it. The Doctor knows well.

Dear Lybrate user. Mood swings and negative thoughts occur in every human being now and then. But if it lasts for a particular period of time and affects one's day-to-day life it becomes clinically significant. It should be diagnosed by a psychiatrist we have a very good treatment options for depressive disorders. It is a three dimensional approach, treatments with medicines and psychological treatment with social skills training, by which one with depression can lead a normal and productive life like anybody else. See a psychiatrist asap.

Dear Lybrate user. Let me give you an example. You see that motor vehicle accidents occurring everyday around you. Would you stop travelling by motor vehicles because of that? Certainly not. Likewise, the side effects of any drug/medicine is not applicable for everyone who takes it. If a medicine is tested with 1000 people for research purposes, only a few of them may have such side-effects. Otherwise, if a particular medicine causes side-effects in every user, it will not be allowed to hit the market. Nothing to worry about it. Just stick to your doctor's advice.

Dear Lybrate user. Since you have tried various pharmacotherapy with no desired results, you better resort to psychotherapy and counseling along with yoga therapy. A psychotherapeutic technique called CBT and Yogic techniques like breathing exercises and pranayam methods could be very fruitful for anxiety issues. But it should be tailored to the need of the affected person. Find such kind of specialists in your nearest location or contact me for further guidance, becs I have a good deal of experience in these areas.

Another concern is excessive body hair. I have been experiencing acute sexual fantasy and uncontrollable ejaculations. Is hormonal treatment possible to ease out all these?

Yes dear Lybrate user. All the problems you have depicted here can be kept under good control by medical treatment and psychiatric treatment for ocd. But since all are long-term conditions, you will have to visit your doctors periodically and stick to the medications they prescribe.

Dear Lybrate user. Just relax. Your problem is not with your penis. It may be the problem of not taking adequate amount of water. Straw yellow is the natural color of human urine. In cases of low water intake and some other disease conditions it may become more darker or more yellowish. In your case, you are otherwise OK physically. Keep taking sufficient quantity of water every day, and stop looking at the urine whenever you urinate. You will be OK soon.

Dear Lybrate user. Health is more important than anything else. What you need is time management and a flexible attitude to overcome your anxiety. I mean, you have to be determined to crab the examination but at the same time be in the attitude that 'I will do my level best and if I fail try harder for the next attempt ' which will give you you a great amount of relief and relaxation. Break your study times into one hour at a stretch. Have a little walk after every one hour of study or distract yourself by doing some other task or have a nap. It will not help you in anyway to stay long with books without understanding. Wish you all the best.

Not only over masturbation but also any activity overindulged may lead to anxiety or depression. Masturbation is a normal outlet of instant gratification of sexual urge. But doing it very frequently and doing it with a guilt feeling in mind will lead to many psychological problems. Maintaining it once or twice a week without any guilt feeling will not harm you in anyway.
