Relax dear lybrate user. You have to understand one basic thing. The ultimate target of love, of particularly your age group is sex. And, a healthy love must be a blend of both psychological and physical attachments to each other. Both kind of attraction and attachment is needed by both male and female. The problem here is, boys generally prefer sexual intimacy to psychological intimacy. In girls it is Vice versa. Moreover, love cant be got by forcing anybody. It should be spontaneous. Just think of a situation in which this break-up happens after marrying and having children? The pain will be tremendous. In this line of thinking, you are a lucky girl. Dont try to forget him. At the same time never beg him for love. If possible, try to keep in touch with him as good friends. Set apart time to think and talk about him to a good friend of you everyday. Other times learn something new or socialize as much as possible. Never be alone. By and by, the memories of him will start vanishing. Finally, it seems to me that yours is not of a healthy love. It is like drug dependence such as smoking, alcohol etc., which can be UNLEARNED by replacing it with other healthy habits, possibly by getting married. I hope you would understand.

Keep a diary with you and record in what situations or in presence of whom you experience anxiety. You can trace the anxiety provoking situations and a better understanding of your own emotions. When you become aware of your emotions, you will be able to manage them in a constructive manner. Regular practice of pranayam yoga will help you to better manage physiological arousal during anxieties and thereby reduce your tension level.

Hello Doctor, What is the cure of high heart beat rate. I have pulse rate of above 95/minute most of the day? My habits: No Alcohol, no Smoking, about 3 cups of tea/day, usually computer work. I have observed this for more than 10 years. Thanks in Advance.

You can get your general physician's opinion as to any abnormalities in your heart functioning. Once he/she declares that you are normal, you should stop checking your heart beat or pulse rate etc. Every now and then. It seems to me that you have developed this behaviour as a habit. It can be unlearned by not doing or thinking about it. Regular practice of pranayama and meditation has soothing effects on hear rates and associated anxieties.

Relax. Even if your boy friend ejaculates on the surface of your vagina (without undergarments), you will not become pregnant. According to your statement his penis didnt enter your vagina. So nothing will happen. But be careful while making love since you are an anxious and hypochondriac as you have mentioned.

Unfortunately schizophrenia is a chronic condition that can not be cured but can be effectively kept under control/managed well. The patient should be on psychiatric treatment and periodic supervision by a psychiatrist. Take her to your psychiatrist without delay.

Dont bother. It is true that the chances of giving birth to defective children are more in cases of close blood-related couples. But not always. If your bloods do not match, it will not affect your first child. In that case you will be given an immunization injection during your first pregnancy to protect the second child by altering your blood environment. Keep in touch with your doctor (Gynae&Obst) right from the early stage of of your pregnancy (once you are diagnosed pregnant). Nothing to worry. Have a happy married life.

I want to be successful in life but I have not achieved anything so far. I somehow able to complete my graduation. I always wanted to be first and get a good job in life. Because of my fear that I have not done well in studies. It took me five years to complete my graduation. I am a good kid. I don't do drugs and I am not interested in making any girlfriend. My parents always expected me that I will do good in life and take care of them because of this, I feared more and not able to do well in graduation. The main reason for this fear is I used to be a monk and I left my monkhood for my parents because my sister got married early despite of her age. My father got angry and created lot of tensions in our family because of her marriage so I have to leave my monkhood. It took me years to know about people and deal with society. As I was a monk my perspective towards life was different and I am not able to compete with fellow students. I have spent 4 years in monastery and after getting out from there, it was hard for me to do schooling and normal things. But I did my best in schools and not in graduation. Please help me Dr. I have never told this to anyone even my friends, I just want to keep this story to myself. I have gone to lot of depression during my teenage because of my religious values which was not compatible with people. But I remain silent and quiet and moved on. Now, I am in my 20's please help Sir/Madam, I am ready to anything to change my life please help. Now, I am preparing for GRE and trying to do master's in abroad. Please help me, I am really frustrated.

Relax dear Lybrate user. You are unnecessary torturing yourself for nothing. First of all drop all your unrealistic ideas of becoming successful in life or becoming a monk. You are too young and immature to understand both the concepts. SUPERFICIAL KNOWLEDGE IS DANGEROUS. You are unconsciously comparing yourself with others. Nobody is perfect. Try to set realistic goals which could be attainable by your abilities. Talk about your position with all the people whom you love and respect, more and more. You will get some clarity about your future. If it does not help, go for counseling.

Engage in foreplays like kissing, Hugging, fondling, oral plays and even spend resonable amount of time in talking romantically before you actually start doing penetrating work. If you can, try to remain without any movement for a few seconds/minutes after insertion. Though it is difficult to practice it can certainly be possible over a period of time. But dont forget to explain and get consent from your partner.

It is only exhaustion which is a very very normal phenomena. It is due to the complete relaxation of your nervous, muscular and skeletal systems. You feel depressed because you may have learnt some false idea in your childhood from friends or cheap medias that masturbation/ejaculation leads to tiredness or depression which inturn creates a guilt feeling. In fact the feeling of relaxation and satisfaction can be enjoyed tremendously.

Stammering may be the indication of any underlying anxiety problems. See a clinical psychologist who can evaluate and give psycho therapies like relaxation training, cbt and so forth. If necessary the psychologist will refer you to a psychiatrist for medications. It is not a serious problem. If you have a strong will and follow the treatments/practices certainly you can overcome it. All the best.

Dear lybrate-user. Be in the middle. I mean neither love nor hate/forget. Subdue your ego and take initiatives to contact him whenever you feel you are deprived of him. Continue your friendship but not in depth. Focus on other areas of your life. You will find yourself Ok in course of time.

Record on a notebook in what situations, with whom, why you get angry and write down/list out the other possible ways of dealing with such conditions. You can go for a brisk walk during that time and at the most hit repeatedly a pillow assuming that you are hitting the person you are angry with. Learn and regularly practice pranayama which can soothen your sympathetic nervous system arousal that responsible for your prolonged anger.
