Dear sir/madam In the beginning, I must give Lybrate doctors a lot of thanks for giving medical advices earlier. I have a 5.5 months old baby now. He weighs 6.5 kgs .my wife can't feed him breast milk sufficiently. So my son cries. Please suggest what to do? Can I use hairloss or cerelac? Or biscuits with milk? Or homemade fruit purees? Or rice dal ?here our local pediatricians do not suggest food habit broadly. Please give a complete food list for a 5.5 months baby.

You can start with complementary foods like dal mashed potatoes mashed bananas curd kheer suji halva. U need to give 3 to 5 times wheat/ rice / cereals in any form like churi mashed rice kheer parantha stuffed and mashed halva atta or suji etc and 2 times snacks which may include fruits and vegetables mashed. Extra you can give water in drinking no juices with preservatives. Cerelac you can use but home made food best.

This is not epilepsy these are febrile seizures you just need to prevent your baby from hike up of fever spikes due to any cause till 6 Yrs of age. These won't have long term neurological damage on brain.

Hi Doctor, could you please check below Prenatal First Trimester Screening Summary report and let me know if any risk Report details: Sample Type: Maternal Serum Method: Time Resolved Fluroimmunoassay on Auto-Delfia Posterior risk for Down's syndrome :1: 7448 Low Risk Posterior risk for Edward's syndrome 1: 100000 Low Risk Posterior risk for Patau's syndrome: 1:100000 Low Risk INTERPRETATION: The First Trimester screening for the given sample is found SCREEN NEGATIVE Note: Gestational age assigned as per biometry (CRL) on 10-03-2018 Disclaimer: * Quality of the Down’s syndrome & ONTD screening program is (Biochemical values, MoMs and Risk assessments) monitored by UKNEQAS on an ongoing basis. * This interpretation assumes that patient and specimen details are accurate and correct. * Fetomed does not bear responsibility for the ultra sound measurements. This is a risk estimation test and not a diagnostic test. An increased risk result does not mean that the fetus is affected and a low risk result does not mean that the fetus is unaffected. Hi Doctor,

Risk for down syndrome is high approx 1 in 7000. Other risk factors need to be ruled out like late age of mother, previous downs. Go for level 2 scan and detailed fetal examination. Nipt screening will help you as non invasive test to determine risk of down in baby.
