He just had an minor accident and injured his wrist we got an x ray done from a local store and it shows "fracture at the lower end of radius bone is seen, soft tissue swelling is seen" and" joint space is normal" should we go for plaster coz we want to avoid it as the kid is scared of those, currently we are in a very remote area with very basic medical help available so don't want to risk anything.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. Distal radius fractures may be treated effectively by wearing a supportive cast or splint. For severe distal radius fractures, surgery may be necessary. Distal radius fracture repair with volar plate is a surgical procedure that uses metal implants, or plates, to help stabilize fractures in the radius near the wrist. Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

Hello, greetings from your ayurveda wellness coach. The condition that you are facing is a kind of crepitus and usually this will happen due to lack of synovial fluid that causes lubrication in your joints and also due to weak joint strength and that happens due to lack of vitamins and calcium absorption problem and I suggest you to consult me online so that I can recommend the remedy for the same. I strongly recommend you to follow good balanced diet and expose to the sunlight in the morning hours for 15 to 30 minutes combined with exercises.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. Other times, to align the bone properly, he or she will need to bend the unbroken part of the bone until it fractures completely. Then, the surgeon will immobilize the fracture in a cast for about six weeks. Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

Had a ulna undisplaced fracture 32 days back. I am getting the plaster removal tomorrow. Do I need another x-ray before removal. Already had 2 x-ray after the plaster was put on which the doctor said was ok report. Sometimes have stiffness and mild pain at fracture point. Is it normal? Should I still continue with calcium and vitamin d?

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. Before removing the cast, the doctor will examine your limb (the part of your body where the cast was, like your arm or leg). The doctor may want to take an x-ray of the limb when it's still in the cast and check things like your pain level. Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. A stable, simple and isolated fracture of the ulna (secondary to a direct blow) can be treated with a cast for about four to six weeks. Your doctor will closely follow your progress with x-rays to assure nondisplacement of the fracture and proper bone healing. Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

Hello i'm 23 and 1 week ago I had a minor ankle fracture. After done x ray and confirming my fracture, doctors gave me a walker boot to support my ankle. Can I remove it at night/shower time? Can I start doing exercises such as making small steps, circles, up & down with the foot? For how long do I need to rear the walker boot? Thank you!

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. Although you should follow your doctor's advice in any situation, the normal practice is to wear the boot while sleeping. However, loosening the straps that secure the boot will increase wearing comfort and allow you to sleep better. I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. After the cast comes off, the immobilized body parts are going to be stiff. This is normal. If we immobilized a perfectly healthy wrist or ankle that wasn't broken, for several weeks, it would be stiff too. The stiffness will take time to work out. Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.
