I have recently started 2 wake up @around 3am feeling slightly anxious and breathing fast. I walk in around the house drink water and go to sleep after 5-7 minutes. Should I be worried.

Am I depressed or having psychological illness? I have almost stopped all socializing for past 5 months. I don't like to drink. No addictions. I have started meditation. It was inner calling. I like to spend most of my times now reading. Net researching on higher meanings of life. Psychic development. .practising different meditation. Some times I do get stressed and agitated with results being slow. But I discipline myself to keep on researching. I am new to this new age meditation but nothing else in the world excites me anymore. I don't want to travel and see the world. I just want to keep on concentrating on developing my inner energies. Is this all normal? My healer guru travels and goes to ashrams. But I am super focused on just myself. I have developed reasonable telekinesis and telepathic skills till now. But I hardly go out anymore because everything and everyone saps my energy more. I like to just live in my bubble. I live in a posh apartment locality and most find me egoist not to mix with anymore. I owe noon any explanation. I have started doubting my social behaviour? .Do I need to have a balanced way of life Or Is this Ok? Kindly be blunt and honest in your opinion.

There is a certain limit to finding yourself. We are all social animals and need each other. When we learn something new about ourselves, we want to share it with others. This extent of withdrawal is not normal. You must learn how to live and love people. Otherwise you are confining yourself to your own comfort zone but this will soon feel lonely and boring. We are all made for relationships and if you are not in one, you will become an isolate. All this can lead to depression too. So go out and meet the world and enjoy all the pleasures of relating and loving people.

As long as you don't give proper attention and get that allergy out from the body. You will suffer. But there is a way out. Not for all but for majority can be relieved. Hello! you can be free from asthma suffering. Lot of people who have allergies tend to suffer continuously or intermittently. Unless you remove allergies from body to enter* you will keep suffering from different kinds of allergies. Lungs: allergies cause asthma. Skin: rashes & itching nose & sinus: cold & sneezing, headache. Stomach: pain abdomen or gastritis. Best way to come out of any kind of allergies is first do allergy screening test and then only start medications. Or else the medicines will not work effectively as allergen exposer is not taken care.

Firstly understand that weight gain is very dependent on genetics and metabolism. It is important to know that just eating just two heavy meals a day will not help. Eating the right foods at the right time is very important. Eat meals at frequent intervals. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Include dairy, eggs, nuts, fruits in your meals. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Exercise at least thrice a week. Even if you were to take medicines or supplements they will not work in isolation you need to have a calorie and nutrient dense meal.

- use a soft toothbrush -- and brush properly! brush your teeth for at least two minutes twice a day and after meals. Hard brushing can further damage the soft tissues of your mouth. - floss at least once a day and be sure to floss beyond the gum line to remove more plaque. - control bleeding by applying pressure to the area with a cold compress. - rinse with salt water or hydrogen peroxide to keep the area clean. Avoid mouthwashes that contain alcohol, which can dry out your mouth. - stay away from smoking and other tobacco products, which can aggravate bleeding gums. - eat a balanced diet and limit snacking between meals. Carbohydrates and sugars feed dental plaque. - try an oral irrigation device, commonly known as a" water pick, to clear debris from around the gum line. - you may need deep cleaning along with surgical curettage or gum strengthening procedure. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks. Advance procedures can be done with laser.

Hi, your height can grow till 25 years of age. If you haven't yet reached the age, you may try the following remedies - 1. Take flax seed powder - 1 tablespoon after lunch and dinner with warm water. 2. Take lakshadi guggul - 2 tablets, twice a day. 3. Take ashwgandha churna - 1 tablespoon with milk at 6.30 pm. Also follow these exercises daily - 1. Swimming 2. Skipping 3. Pull-ups 4. Suryanamaskar.

Ayurvedic Approach to Detoxing Body

It is necessary that you detoxify your body after regular intervals because with detoxification, you not just remove the dangerous toxins from your body but also increase the vitality of your body.

In Ayurveda, all natural ingredients are used for detoxification. Ayurveda works wonders in cleansing the blood by removing impurities and toxins, accumulated in various organs of the body such as the liver, intestines, kidneys, lymphatic system, lungs and skin. It is equally effective in case of both healthy and unhealthy individuals. While the unhealthy person gets rid of the chronic diseases, the healthy person becomes fit enough to prevent diseases and stay physically and mentally fit.

  1. Panchakarma: Panchakarma is Ayurveda's primary purification and detoxification treatment. Panchakarma means "five therapies". These 5 therapeutic treatments eliminate toxins from the body, they are: Vamana, Virechana, Nasya, Basti and Raktamoskshana. The series of these five therapies help remove deep rooted stress and illness-causing toxins from the body while balancing the doshas (energies that govern all biological functions). 
  2. Nasya: Nasya or nasal administration is a procedure of cleaning the accumulated Kapha from the head and neck region. At first, the face, head and chest is massaged thoroughly using certain herbal oil which promotes perspiration. The excess mucus accumulated in the throat, sinus and head is drained out through the nearest opening- the nose. This treatment helps in treating sinusitis, headaches, migraine, Rhinitis, facial palsy, paralysis, insomnia, frozen shoulder and neurological dysfunctions. It is also effective in improving eyesight and memory.
  3. Abhyanga: It is a combination of long strokes and synchronized soothing that helps in re-storing balance, harmony and composure in the body. Your body is massaged with oil in seven different positions and the type of oil is chosen based on the body equilibrium. It stimulates healing at a micro-cellular level as the oils get absorbed in the intra-follicular and intra-dermal layers of the skin. It helps you to steer clear of tiredness and enhances immunity and sleep. It cures psychological imbalances and fosters flexibility in the joints and muscles, thus rendering softness to the skin glands.
  4. Shirodhara: In this therapy, warm medicated oil is continuously poured on your forehead for about 30 to 45 minutes followed by a 15 to 20 minutes Abhyanga massage. Depending on your body type, milk, oil, buttermilk or herbal decoctions are used to boost up the therapeutic effect of the treatment. It provides deep relaxation to your central nervous system and rejuvenates it. Shirodhara oil regulates the functioning of your hormonal system too, eliminating ailments such as high blood pressure, migraine, anxiety and headaches. Medicated buttermilk massage treatment helps treat diabetes while medicated milk serves as a good remedy to insomnia as well.
  5. Kati Vasti: This is a form of sudation therapy (procedure to induce sweat without the use of heat) that helps to ease lower back pain caused due to inter-vertebral inflammation. Vasti is two types Niruha vast that is vasti with medicated decotion and other is Anuvasana vasti that is vasti with medicated oil. Like other therapy vasti has also pretherapeutic and post therapeutic technique. Pretherapeutic includes snehana lubrication internally and externally and also swedana sweat therapy.these poorvakarma help in loosening and liquefying the toxins accumulated in cells and get collected in colon. After the application of herbal medicines this toxins collected in colon is eliminated out.
  6. Basti (Enema or Colonic Irrigation): The term 'Basti' stands for a pouch or bag. The procedure involves introducing ayurvedic liquid and herbal concoctions made of oils and milk through the perineum or anus or the vaginal opening in women in order to cleanse and heal the lower part of the body and remove the toxins accumulated in this part through the colon and urinary tract. Basti is considered as the mother of all Panchakarma treatments. It cleanses the accumulated toxins from all the 3 doshas : Vata, Pitta and Kapha, through the colon. Basti is also highly beneficial as a rejuvenating treatment. Medicated oil or ghee and an herbal decoction is given as enema to clean the colon and increase the muscle tone. This treatment is provided for several days, based on the medical condition of a person. It provides treatment for: For Hemiplegia, Paraplegia, Colitis, Convalescence, Cervical Spondylosis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Constipation, Digestive disorders, Backache & Sciatica, Hepatomegaly & Splenomegaly, Obesity, Piles, Sexual Debility & Infertility. 

It is always better to practice these under the advice of an expert ayurveda practitioner.

Hi Take ½ glass of carrot juice + Add ½ glass of spinach juice + Mix well + Drink this juice to cure headache 1-1 drop of cow ghee in both nostrils at night time before sleep. Take pranacharya no tens capsule 1_1 twice a day. Take shirshooladi vajra ras twice a day with honey. Avoid tea and coffee.

Hello Doctor, I want to ask what should I do if seizures comes during eating or drinking? My son is suffering from seizures he is 7 years old waiting for your reply.

First of all ensure that your child is taking all the drugs on time. And if he is having seizures even after taking all drugs on time, you should consult a neurologist to change/ add medications. Now coming to your question, if your child gets seizures while eating/ drinking, immediately change the position to lateral position so that he may not aspirate the food particles in his airway. And take him to nearest healthcare facility asap.

To remain healthy you should follow 3 steps in your life 1.BALANCED DIET 2.EARLY MORNING BRISK MORNING WALK for 30 minutes and 10 minutes evening walk after Dinner 3.DRINK 6-8 Glasse of water daily. As 60% of our body is made of water, it acts as a carrier of essential nutrients inside our body. Loosing as little as 5% of body's weight as water can cause headache, fatigue and lower your muscle strength. To stay healthy, an adult should drink at least 8 glasses of water everyday. Balanced Diet= 60% Carbohydrates + 20% Fats + 20% Proteins 1. Carbohydrates: Our main source of energy. Stored in liver and muscles. Carbohydrates are used the most by our body duringexercise. Hence, it is important for people who exercise regularly to consume a diet rich in carbohydrates. (a) Instant/rapid carbohydrates energy sources: Banana, Milk, Sweets, Sugarcane juice. (b) Slow carbohydrates energy sources: Beans, Bread, Cereals, Potato, Pulses, Rice. 2. Proteins: Essential for growth, repair of muscle, skin, hair and body tissues. Protein deficiency leads to low immunity, hairfall, feeling of tiredness. Proteins are not stored in our body as any excess protein is converted to energy or fat. Hence, a person requires protein intake every day. When the body does not get enough carbohydrates to fuel itself, it falls back on protein bank. That is why people who follow starvation diets or go on fasting lose muscle tissue. (a) Major protein sources: Egg white(white portion), Milk, Soybeans/Soymilk, Fish, Cheese, Tofu. BRAMARI PRANAYAM or Bee Breath 1.Close your eyes. Focus on your breathing. 2.Place your thumbs in your ears, your index fingers above your eyebrows, and your remaining along the sides of your nose. Keep each pinky finger near a nostril. 3.Breath in deeply through the nose. First, feel the diaphragm move down, allowing the lungs to expand and forcing the abdomen out; then feel your chest expand with your collar bones rising last. .4.Use your pinkies to partially close each nostril. Keep your lungs filled. .5.Breathe out through the nose while humming. Note that the humming sound should originate in your throat, not as a result of your partially-blocked nostrils. 6.Repeat twenty times.starting from 5 times

Massage any of the hair oils onto your hair and scalp by applying light pressure with your fingertips. Do this at least once a week.
2. Apply aloe vera gel or juice onto the scalp. Leave it on for a few hours and then wash it off with lukewarm water. Repeat the process three to four times a week.

I have copd and am on steroids and other related medicines for 20 years. My slats and. Vitamins are ok. I am also using loftair for copd. Anything I can do. Please advise.

Regular and prolonged use of steroid is not indicated in COPD. Aim of pharmacotherapy to control symtoms and prevent exacerbatuons. Have adult vaccination to prevent exacerbation and join a pulmonary rehabilitation. Do as much activity as possible. Have high protien diet.

I have black shade on my forehead and it seems very odd it is just a black line of about 2 inch long and 1.5 cm wide. Easily observable. Have tried memopi hc cream for about 3 months but have not got any change.

Apply pranacharya face glow on your face for 15 minutes then wash it with warm water. Take pranacharya b clean syrup 2-2 tsf twice a day. Take pranacharya allergin capsule 1-1 twice a day. Wash your face with any good ayurvedic soap containing neem etc.

Hair fall is due to many reasons now a day it is common due to stress and busy life check your haemoglobin level if less then take hamatinic any multinational company take proper diet (dal vegetables sprouts fruits) and do exercise minimum 15 min if possibles do yoga for 10 min increase water intake minimum 3 to 4 litres per day also take homoeo medicines homoeo medicines are known for to stop hair fall and it actually happens phosphrus 30 (30 no glouble) 2 tds x 2 weeks and reply also comb your hair gently and 2/3 time per day wash with homoeopathic shampoo (sbl or any company) twice a week preaper oil by mixing arnica montana q 30 ml + any regular hair oil and apply before wash.

It is abnormal. Stop shampooing. Hair fall may be attributed to different reasons like using artificial colors, hair styling, chemicals etc. It may be due to some internal weakness also. Please go for herbal neem shampoo. Use shikakai and amla as conditioner (soak amla and shikakai in water overnight and boil a little in morning). Apply it on hairs. Keep for half an hour and then wash. It will condition the hairs.
