I was sincere student till 12th then in college I cannot focus on studies and always tend to postpone important task and if I concentrate too long I feel mentally tired. I always procrastinating and now I want to study but I can not. I think I have adultADHD and due that I feel guilty of not preparing for exams, even in day before exam I cannot focus and do something else and I have other symptoms of adhd like fidgeting and cannot sit at one place.

Dear lybrate user nowadays we all have habit to google about the symptoms to know about the problem we are suffering from. But google is not a doctor or psychologist. There are standardized procedure for diagnosis. So relax and don't think too much by putting yourself into different categories. It's important for you to make a study plan or organiser. The plan should have breaks in between so that you won't get mentally tired. It's proven that studying for prolonged hours without taking break doesn't help in learning process. So make a study plan paste it near your study table. Set daily achievable goals for yourself. In the beginning may 2 goals per day. Motivate yourself to achieve those goals on time. Reward yourself for achieving those goals. Try these things. If you still face difficulty then take one on one counseling session. Remember that it will require time to change ones habit it won't be changed in one day or week. It's a process. Take care.

Dear lybrate-user, hello! first of all please do not opt for medication straight away. Try to release your stress by allowing yourself to'let go' of anything that is making you stress. If there is any kind of negative trigger in your life, just release the control of that trigger, and allow it to go. This will help you release the extra burden that you are carrying. If you believe in god, then close your eyes to imagine god carrying your burdens. Imagine god saying to you, to not be anxious or worried, he has your back covered. Try and surrender all your pain and stress in the hands of god. If you do not believe in god, then just think'yourself' to be your best friend. Write down your stress on the piece of paper and burn it, this should help you a little. Rest I am always there to help you more. Stay blessed. Regards.

Its good that you have reached out for help. It seems your problems might be because of Anxiety or depression. This problem is curable with proper treatment. Unfortunately, it is not advisable to prescribe medicine without taking detailed history however you can consult a local psychologist for treatment without medications.

You are already crippling yourself by imagining the worst of yourself while around people. You are highly sensitive to being rejected and being criticized. You are indeed unique and there is no one who is going to be like you, ever! You have a problem of self-acceptance, and if I may venture to say may be a rejection issue. This latter may have happened due to an actual rejection which you may have experienced very early in your life. The solution to this is a matter of genuine self-acceptance or self-love. I am not talking about narcissism: this is a genuine love of yourself. It is not based on your appearance alone. You must work on developing yourself in five areas: the physical fitness, emotional fitness, intellectual fitness, social fitness and spiritual fitness. I would also suggest you attend a good personality development program, a speech training course (I suggest the Toastmasters Club), a conversation and elocution course, and to do a personal grooming course too. Education is very good to boost self-confidence, and together with that if you develop socializing skills, you will make it big. Meet with a counselor and ask to be trained in handling emotions, and that will just take you places. Read a lot and meet lots of people, even if you feel too conscious: in time you will get out of this backwardness very well. Do physical fitness exercises regularly. Ultimately, if you believe in God, you will know that you are so precious to Him that no one else’s opinion or acceptance is as important as His. Your life will change phenomenally!

If you feel depressed, it's best to do something about it — depression doesn't just go away on its own. In addition to getting help from a doctor or therapist, here are 5 things you can do to feel better. And if these are not useful you need antidepressants 1. Exercise. Take a 15- to 30-minute brisk walk every day — or dance, jog, or bike if you prefer. People who are depressed may not feel much like being active. In addition to getting aerobic exercise, some yoga poses can help relieve feelings of depression. Two other aspects of yoga — breathing exercises and meditation — can also help people with depression feel better. 2. Nurture yourself with good nutrition. Depression can affect appetite. One person may not feel like eating at all, but another might overeat.. Proper nutrition can influence a person's mood and energy. So eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and get regular meals (even if you don't feel hungry, try to eat something light, like a piece of fruit, to keep you going). 3. Identify troubles, but don't dwell on them. Try to identify any situations that have contributed to your depression. When you know what's got you feeling blue and why, talk about it with a caring friend. Talking is a way to release the feelings and to receive some understanding. 4. Express yourself. With depression, a person's creativity and sense of fun may seem blocked. Exercise your imagination (painting, drawing, doodling, sewing, writing, dancing, composing music, etc.) and you not only get those creative juices flowing, you also loosen up some positive emotions. Take time to play with a friend or a pet, or do something fun for yourself. Find something to laugh about — a funny movie, perhaps. Laughter helps lighten your mood. 5. Try to notice good things. Depression affects a person's thoughts, making everything seem dismal, negative, and hopeless. If depression has you noticing only the negative, make an effort to notice the good things in life. Try to notice one thing, then try to think of one more. Consider your strengths, gifts, or blessings. Most of all, don't forget to be patient with yourself. Depression takes time to heal. Hi, I have health anxiety (hypochondriac. And I keep on asking doctors for reassurance and I get scolding from most of the doctors and none of the doctors convince me properly. And the shameful part is I am a medical student. And I have spent lot of money on consultation and today also I tried but I dint have enough money this is very true and my anxiety story is getting hiv and hep c infection in the fish spa as I have been there. I know as a medical student it is not possible that this infections can spread by fish in the fish spa. But reading in internet made be anxious but even that article tells that infection is only possible if both clients bleed simultaneously in a small tank but in my case there was no person and no bleeding but then also I get the thought that fish may transmit but I know it's impossible but can't control my thoughts. These thoughts made me to take doctors advice even all docs told me that it is impossible. But this anxiety is not leaving me and I even went to counselling by psychiatrist and I'm taking fluoxetine tabs and I'm tired of medication. I know how people treat people like me some will make fun of me even my mother thinks it's a fake thing. I don't know for whom to tell and no one listens me. I need someone to motivate me because I'm very mentally weak person I can't concentrate on my work. My morning becomes horrible sometimes and I keep on pretending that I'm normal whole day. I know my bloody story will irritate any one but I belief that someone could help me and I'm sick of paying money for consultation I don't know what to do. I tested so long because I wanted to share my feelings. So I know help is not possible over a chat but I still had a hope that I will become like a normal person and live happily any small help if possible help me. I don't want to live this and I took free consultation because transaction is not happening. I know someone will help me. Sorry if I troubled anyone and I want to ask sorry for doctors for keep on asking for reassurance. I know it's a long text but it's all my inner feelings. Sorry.
