After ejaculation I am feeling very depressed, plzz give me some advice and medication.

M.Sc - Applied Psychology, P.G.Dip.in Guidance &Counselling, B.A., Psychology, Dip.in Pharmacy
Psychologist, Madurai
It is only exhaustion which is a very very normal phenomena. It is due to the complete relaxation of your nervous, muscular and skeletal systems. You feel depressed because you may have learnt some false idea in your childhood from friends or cheap medias that masturbation/ejaculation leads to tiredness or depression which inturn creates a guilt feeling. In fact the feeling of relaxation and satisfaction can be enjoyed tremendously.

Dear sir, he is not ready to go to the doctor, near about a year he is out of treatment. Only sometime he take the" depsonil" medicine. But that also not in regular basis, it was prescribed by the doctor before one year. When I beg him to go to the doctor he says he will go. But then when I ask shall I take an appointment then he becomes silent. And near about six months he rarely talks with me. Please guide me how can I motivate him and make talk with me and how can get reach of a doctor for his treatment and counselling. Please please show me the path. Thanks radha.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
He is not following the prescription and therefore he cannot gain the benefits of the medication. Erratic use is also devoid of any benefits. His depression is taking a toll on him and he needs to be forced to go to the doctor. Is there no one else in the house or among relatives whose help may be sought to get him to the doctor? he himself is not motivated and this languorous state is typical of the condition and therefore he has to be literally carried to the doctor. If all this is not possible, please visit the doctor who prescribed the medication, and ask him to either come on a home visit or to prescribe some medication to be administered via his food or drink and this will get him out of his stupor. Once he is out of this state, he may become more amenable to go himself for follow up treatment. Apart from this he needs psychological counseling for a long time and it is worth finding out someone for this purpose. S/he could visit the person and through the dialogue that will ensue he can become more active and work on some issues to become more functional. Even when he is taking his medication, do not stop the counseling.

Dear , you can think about any girl or anything. You should enjoy having someone to think about. Instead you are obsessive with it and worrying. If you like her, propose her and marry her. Otherwise, leave her and concentrate on your career. Take care.

Dear lybrate-user, welcome to lybrate. Anger and aggression are emotions. Anger comes when you become irritated. Irritation happens when you don't like something, or when something is repeated. As anger is an emotion, it should be vent out. You should be able to throw anger out instead of controlling it. But more perfect will be, know the frustrating situations and stop being emotional. If practiced properly, you will not get irritated at those circumstances at all. Those techniques are much easier to understand. Take care.

Hello sir/Mem I was suffering from anxiety disorder, doctor gave me pexep tablet for 3 months. I am OK now. Doctor told me that it will not happen Again to me. And he told me for breathing exercises and no late night sleep, that is I am doing since 4 months regularly. My question is that would n't this problem happen again to me? What precautions should I follow so that It should not happen to me again? And what yogasun should I do?

MD - Psychiatry, MBBS
Psychiatrist, Pune
I doubt that any doctor states that it will never happen again. It is impossible to state or believe in this. Yes it will improve and that period may be long. Don't worry. It's the present that you live in. Improvement and preoccupation with other issues is impossible. Regards

U need complete evaluation with epilepsy protocol mri. Why do you want operation if it can be treated with medicines. Brain operation is not without risks. If its medically refractory and surgically curable I may be of help. Whethet it can be cured by surgery we will only know after thorough evaluation.

Anger Can Trigger Heart Attack or Stroke

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,

A flash of anger may precipitate heart attack or stroke in susceptible individuals within two hours of anger episode as per a systematic review showed by Murray Mittleman, Dr PH, of the Harvard School of Public Health, and colleagues in the European Heart Journal.

The relative risks estimated in this meta-analysis indicate that there is a higher risk of cardiovascular events after outbursts of anger among individuals at risk of a cardiovascular event, but because each episode may be infrequent and the effect period is transient, the net absolute impact on disease burden is extremely low. However, with increasing frequency of anger episodes, the risk increases.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Epilepsy may occur as a result of a genetic disorder or an acquired brain injury, such as a trauma or stroke. During a seizure, a person experiences abnormal behaviour, symptoms and sensations, sometimes including loss of consciousness. There are few symptoms between seizures. Epilepsy is usually treated by medication and in some cases by surgery, devices or dietary changes. after taking an EEG and full check up

I am a 23 yr old male I have problem related to talking with girls I feel very shy even I have problem to attend any social event or go socially I feel very lonely.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
You need to focus on your social development skills, or the lack of it. You may have neglected this all your life or may come from a home where these skills are absent or poor. Fortunately because you are young you can improve on it soon. The final test of any personality is in the social context: what happens to you when you are with people? the next big test is when you are with members of the opposite sex. And the ultimate test of a personality is when you bed and board with a member of the opposite sex in marriage. You describe problems in two of these areas and must attend to it soon. You can start by attending a personality development course. You can also do a conversational skills course, a public speaking skills course, elocution course, and attend the toastmasters club. You may also meet with a counselor and learn about emotions and how to handle them appropriately. You may also have a poor self image, self esteem, self-confidence for various reasons; which may also be worked out with a counselor. While you are doing all this please frequent meetings, conferences, social clubs, participate in group games, seminars, get-togethers, parties, etc. You need to start gradually and build up as you pcik up the confidence. Also one big mistake we men make is that when we meet a girl we tend to think and see it a a sexual encounter unnecessarily. This will immediately complicate the simple meetings and bring in all kinds of unsavory elements into it. Be very conscious of this and willfully dispel this influence and learn to be cool.

Reading Can Change Your Life!

BHMS
Homeopath, Hyderabad
Reading Can Change Your Life!
When was the last time you sat down and read a book from start to finish? Does your daily reading center around Facebook updates or the back of a cereal box? If you haven’t picked up a good book in a while you should! I just recently started reading again for fun and to my surprise there are quite a few benefits to daily reading.

1. Mental Stimulation

Just like we have to exercise the body, we also have to exercise the brain. Reading helps to keep the brain stimulated which can slow the progress of Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Doing puzzles and playing games like chess can be just as helpful as reading.

2. Relieve Stress

Reading is a huge stress reliever. A well-written book can sweep you away into another realm, which will allow your tensions to slip away so you can finally relax.

3. Gain Knowledge

Everything you read fills your head up with more knowledge. You never know what you might come in handy. The more you read the more knowledge you will have to tackle future challenges. The best part is no one can ever take knowledge away from you!

4. Memory and mood

I recently finished the book Wicked, by Gregory Maguire, and there was a lot to remember! Each chapter had new characters, towns, and events to follow. Reading will help improve your memory and every new memory you create forges new brain pathways, which strengthens existing ones. This will help assist your short-term memory and stabilize your mood.

5. Stay Focused

Every day we are pulled in a million different directions. The Internet certainly doesn’t help. I find myself working on schoolwork, checking my email, updating my Facebook, and listening to music all at the same time, while getting distracted by ads in my internet browser. Reading can help improve your focus and concentration. When you read a book, all of your attention is focused on what you are reading. Try reading for 15-20 minutes before work and see if you feel more focused throughout the day.

6. Writing

Having more exposure to well written books can improve your writing skills as well. In the same way we learn by watching others we can learn from reading a good book.

7. Free and Fun!

It’s free! Visit your local library or thrift store to find some good books to read. Libraries rotate their stock so you won’t run out of books to read. There are also many sites that will let you download free e-books. So there isn’t any reason not to start reading for fun!

I lost somebody last year and since feel very depressed and prefer keeping to myself all time. Please help me.
