Yes you should clean his baby teeth as well. And best way to do it to take a muslin cloth or you can take any soft cloth. Roll it in your first finger and dip this cloth in warm water and start cleaning his teeth, cheeks, gums, tongue. You should do this every time you feed your baby and specially when he is sleeping. If you don't take good care of your cleaning then this will lead to many tooth infection problems and deterioration of your child's teeth.

Gastritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning & fill tooth cavities with artificial enamel filling. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

If the tooth breaks, have the tooth contoured. Fill the crack in. Place a crown on your tooth. If the tooth has been badly damaged and the nerve or pulp is exposed, the dentist may have to perform a root canal to save the tooth. If the tooth has been severely damaged, it may have to be extracted.

Hi, there are various reasons of bad breath, like impurities in blood, inefficient digestive system, dry mouth (lack of saliva production), gum disease, cavities, plaque and tartar formation around teeth and gums, kind of diet, improper brushing / cleaning of mouth etc. I would advise you to get a thorough physical and dental examination to rule out the cause of bad breath and to solve it permanently. Normally spaces between the teeth can be treated and those gaps can be closed with the help of orthodontic braces. As you said, if your teeth are small or underdeveloped, after check up we can exactly say what exact treatment you require. In healthy dentition there is no need of replacement of teeth, we can treat it accordingly with advance treatment aids.

What can I do to prevent cavities?
Dental cleanings remove plaque from teeth and reduce the risk of cavities. Your dentist will check your teeth forcavities after each cleaning. Cavities are tooth decay, or holes that form on the surface of your teeth. They don?t typically cause discomfort in the early stages, but pain and sensitivity may develop if you ignore the problem.

Different factors increase the risk for cavities. These include drinking sugary beverages, eating sugary foods, and bacteria in the mouth. Your dentist can recommend a plan to reduce your number of cavities. This can include brushing or flossing more often, avoiding certain types of foods, and chewing sugarless gum throughout the day to increase the amount of saliva in your mouth.

Kindly get an x-ray done of the rct treated tooth. May be infection has occurred again. Avoid eating from that side of the tooth having pain till the time you don't take x-ray and the required treatment for it because it will pain more. Till then you can take a pain killer like tab flozen ns. This will help in reducing pain n swelling but this is going to give you temporary relief.
