2 years ago My girlfriend has been successfully treated pulmonary tuberculosis. Can it occurs second time her. Is there any problem to mary her?

MBBS, MD - Pulmonary Medicine, FNB-Critical Care and Medicine
Pulmonologist, Gurgaon
I think tuberculosis can happen to anybody. She can again get tuberculosis as some other person can get. Secondly I think history of tuberculosis is not related to marriage or something as this is a curable disease.

Angina Pain - Symptoms And Treatment

MBBS, MS (Gen. Surgery), M.Ch - Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery, DNB (CTS)
Cardiologist, Noida
Angina Pain - Symptoms And Treatment

Angina or angina pectoris is the pain, discomfort or tightness in the chest that occurs when the blood flow to the heart muscle cells is not enough to meet its energy needs. It is not a disease itself but rather a symptom of the coronary heart disease.

What are the different types of angina?

1. Stable angina: It is the commonest form of angina. It can be triggered by stress or physical activity and usually only lasts a few minutes.

2. Unstable angina: It happens when you're resting or aren't very active. The pain is strong and long lasting, and may keep recurring. It may be a signal of an impending heart attack.

3. Variant angina: This might take place when you're asleep or at rest. This sudden tightening or narrowing of the heart's arteries causes a lot of pain.

How u know what your are experiencing is an angina pain?

You might be having angina pain if you suffer from one or more of these symptoms:

- Chest pain
- Heartburn
- Breathlessness
- Nausea
- Dizziness
- Restlessness
- Fatigue
- Pain in your arm, neck, jaw and back
- Numbness or loss of feeling in your arms, shoulders or wrists

Immediate Relief from Angina

If previously advised by a certified doctor, patients can take antiplatelet medicines which are blood thinners and prevent unstable angina. Final treatments include angioplasty (repair of a blocked blood vessel through surgery), insertion of a coronary artery stent (a tube that is used to treat weakened arteries) or a heart bypass surgery for serious complications. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a cardiologist.

MBBS, DNB (Respiratory Diseases)

Hi Mr. lybrate-user, Nobody can say if it is M bovis or M TB. For all practical purpose let us assume it is M TB (unless you were drinking unhygenic milk). And as far as drug resistance is concerned, Please get an appropriate biopsy as deemed fit by your physician. Regards.

Sir I am suffering from cough since last 2 years I always feel cough in my throat and some times I see blood in my cough but my all test report like chest x ray blood test balgam test endoscopy and microbiology test are ok till now I did not get any solution of this problems some time I feel uncomforted in my chest.

BHMS
Homeopath,
The blood in the cough is usually due to the exertion caused by coughing as its possible that your cough might be very dry and hacking by nature. Since all the tests are normal its also possible to think of layrngeal/pharyngeal infective causes for your cough. Physical discomfort also suggests a difficulty in breathing caused due to constriction. You must take the treatment as advised by the doctor for the cough or you can also visit a chest physician but first follow up with the current medications as advised by the doctor.

Dear Sir, I am suffering from lymph nodes tuberculosis, there are two tumour of TB in my neck, I have taken anti-tubercular treatment but there are no changes in tumour size. Please suggest what I do, May go for Surgical treatment or keep continue anti tubercular tablets. Please suggest me.

MBBS, MD - Pulmonary Medicine
Pulmonologist, Delhi
Lymph nose TB can be difficult to treat. Many a times lymph nodes don't regress. Rarely they may be caused by resistant bacteria. You should get the lymph node removed surgically and send the node for TB culture. Till then continue the treatment. Treatment may be modified post culture report.

Natural method of treatment. 1.Prepare coconut milk by grinding grated coconut and squeezing its milk. Apply coconut milk to your scalp by using hair brush. Cover your head with a towel and leave it for 20 minutes and rinse your hair with cold water. Do it once a week 2. Extract pulp content from the stalk of aloevera plant and rub to your hair which is washed before. Massage the pulp into your scalp in circular motion, leave it for 15 minutes, rinse it with cold water do it thrice a week preferably in the morning after taking head bath. 3. Boil 10-12 dry neem leaves in water, wait for the mixture to cool, rinse your hair with this mixture after shampooing (protect your eyes while rinsing to prevent burning sensation). Repeat the process once in a week. 4. Steep 2 green tea bags in hot water and wait till water cools down. Remove the tea bags and use the solution to rinse the hair and massage the solution over your scalp after shampooing it. Do it twice a week. 5. Slightly warm 1-2 tablespoonful of coconut oil. Gently apply the oil to your scalp and hair root for 30 minutes. Leave it for 30 minutes and wash it off with cold water. 6.Take 2-3 lemon, cut the lemon and prepare lemon juice. Strain the juice into a bowl using muslin cloth and mix it with warm water. Wash your hair, pour the mixture over scalp and massage hair for 5 minutes. Wash it off with cool water. You can repeat the process 1-2 times per week in the morning after taking bath. 7. Boil some curry leaves in your hair oil and apply it on scalp. Massage for 15-20 minutes twice a week 8. Consult Trichologist (hair specialist) for further advice and treatment.

1. Do a complete blood examination like CBC, ESR, Mantoux test, X ray chest, Sputum examination for AFB (3 samples) 2. Consult Chest physician with report. 3 Do warm saline gurgling 3-4 times daily 4. Avoid smoking if you smoke 5. If all the test reports are normal, it could be due to allergy. Do an allergy test after consulting Allergist/Immunologist and follow the advice and treatment.

My left tonsil has recently become visibly larger than right tonsil and there is a lump in it. Additionally, there is kind of pus at the back. It stinks sometimes and due to my smoking background I'm afraid that if it's something serious. I feel uncomfortable though there is no pain. I've tried all antibiotics as recommended by other doctors but that doesn't work. I am anxious about cancer. I'm 19 years of age. I've quit smoking but I'm really scared. Hello sir, I want to know that what is the remedies of tonsillitis. When I sleep at night then I can't breath well and coughing also started.

Diploma in Otorhinolaryngology (DLO), DNB (ENT)
ENT Specialist, Nagpur
Hi Tonsillitis per say has medical line if treatment only, but if you are saying it is causing breathing difficulties then I think you are suffering from chronic hypertrophic tonsillitis wherein the size of tonsils also increases. In this case surgical management and removal of tonsils and if adenoids ie the tonsils behind the nose are also enlarged should be removed. Regards.
