Unfortunately pollution is horrible for people with allergies. Steam helps clean your nose from inside. You will. Also need Anti allergic and appropriate nasal spray.

Help am on diet for weight loss. My current diet is like egg omelette or kanda poha for breakfast then for lunch - 4/5 wheat chapati wid any sabji or chicken gravt. For evening snacks cucumber and tomato salad wid some dry fruits and for dinner I eat muesli. Is this good diet? Or should I change it? Plss suggest me.

Share weight and height information. Also what exercise you do. Thyroid function test ,lipid profile ,PPBS, CBC,Vitamin D reports. For morning omelette using egg whites .You can use 2/3 egg white. Dinner: muesli is not a good option. A bowl of sabzi and 1 whole wheat+Chia chapati would be better.

I am outlining  food you should avoid or restrict in Hypothyroidism. It's important  you maintain  your body weight exercise regularly. Weight gain increases thyroid hormone requirements. Avoid cruciferous   group of veggies  like cabbage and broccoli. Avoid soya bean in all forms. No soya ,nugget, chunk,tofu or milk. Limit their intake: Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, turnips, and bok choy. Cooking the vegetables can reduce the effect that cruciferous vegetables have on the thyroid gland. Limiting your intake to 5 ounces a day appears to have no adverse effect on thyroid function. Decrease gluten  intake from processed  food. Always try whole grain varieties of cereals which is rich in fibres and help improve  bowels (Take your thyroid replacement  medicine several hours before or several hours after food rich in fibres .Otherwise problem  with absorption  of hormone. 20 to 35 gram of fibres daily from all sources. Avoid excessive fatty (deep fried) and sugary food as hypothyroidism  causes your metabolism  to slow down &weight gain. Avoid highly salted food, chips,pickles, sauces as they contain  large amount of sodium .Hypothyroidism  puts you at risk of high BP and excess sodium in salt aggravates Coffee  in excess. And coffee with thyroid hormone  replacement  can prevent absorption. Alcohol. It is toxic to thyroid gland and prevents  hormone production and absorption. Hope this helps

Start Gargling with Betaine gargle Have warm soft food. Plenty of water. Vitamin B complex +C If pain stays for more than 2 days you will need antibiotics. Pain if mild may be helped by Paracetamol.

Hi Start steam inhalation and warm saline gargle .About 2 to 3 times per day. If you don't feel better withing 48 hours ypu may need antibiotics. You can use a nasal decongestant for temporary relief. Take care.

I am prone to Allergy .Whenever I encountered with dust I start sneezing and in turn rhinitis start and it's very irritating. I am outdoor job. For last six months problem have increased. Dust allergy is partly genetic and partly environmental. Thus it never goes away. With better ,less dusty environment  the extent if the problem gets reduced. Medicines help to downregulate the immune response of your body to these environmental allergens. Long term lifestyle  changes with gradually tapering medication  helps to tackle chronic sinus problems.  Start taking Steam inhalation twice a day. *For chronic allergic rhinosinusitis you will need to take a long term course of antibiotics  together  with Nasal sprays.*You will need to avoid dusty environment  and dust mites, animal dander etc. Regular cleaning of AC air filters. Wearing mask while driving 2 wheelers/working in dusty  areas Medical  management  is done for 3 months and then patients  condition is reviewed.  Intermittent treatment is not beneficial  in the long run. Around 30 %of people with allergic rhinitis  will develop Asthma if not treated .But majority of patients with asthma are allergic to dust .Active treatment  of nasal allergy reduces Asthma attacks and medicine requirements. This improve  quality of life .allergens.

Hi What treatment  have you undergone. Sound in ear or Tinnitus can be multifactorial. TINNITUS etiology can be, due to conductive hearing loss ,sensory neural or neural Tests PTA/Tympanometry SISI Tone decay test THYROID HORMONE TEST PPBS LIPID PROFILE CT BRAIN Depending on the above reports MRI CPA Certain medicines can help Lifestyle changes needed include. 1) Go to bed with TV or music on to block the noise. 2) Exercise to be tired enough to fall asleep  quickly. 3) Neuro vitamins like Vitamin B6/12 and combination  antioxidants. 4 )Some other Tinnitus specific drugs which have  varied results. Avoidance of smoking and alcoholism. Both can aggravate  the problem. 5) Tinnitus retraining therapy 6) Tinnitus maskers If you have done any tests you can share your reports on Lybrate. Hi immunity  has a lot to do with rest diet ,exercise and lifestyle. If you have repeated or persistent cold it may actually be allergic rather than infection. If due to ideation and you need to bolster your immunity Start have plenty of fruits and vegetables  in your diet. A course of vitamin B complex and C for 1 month. Add a probiotic supplement to your regular meals. Have sleep for atleast 7 to 8 hours. Exercise atleast for 30 minutes  every day. For Allergy Steam inhalation  twice a day. Hope this helps

Hello Doctor, I am 30 years old. Height is 5.6 and Weight is 90 kgs. I am a working lady with 9-6.30 job timings. I have Thyroid problem since last 5 years. Also I have deficiency in Vitamin D. I have recently joined Zumba/Aerobics classes for 1-1.5 hours each day (in evenings). Please suggest me the diet I should follow to loose weight. Immunity  has a lot to do with rest diet ,exercise and lifestyle. Some baseline tests needed CBC WITH PCV &ESR FT4/TSH Serum 25 (OH) vitamin D level Start having plenty of fruits and vegetables  in your diet. 50 gram of proteins  (atleast) :no soya beans A course of vitamin B complex and C for 1 month. Add a probiotic supplement to your regular meals. Have sleep for atleast 7 to 8 hours. Exercise atleast for 30 minutes  every day. First : medicines are mandatory.  Otherwise you might have weight gain, muscle ache, sleep and anxiety issues as well as reproductive  and cardiac issues later. You need to get an USG neck done  and an FNAC USG guided of thyroid gland. FT3/FT4/TSH  If you have already done these tests Share on Lybrate I can help you better. Any history of alcohol  intake /fatty food /sugary food How much exercise do you get done every day? Ideally you should be doing a good mix of cardio ,weights and crossfit  exercises to keep you healthy Together  with a balanced diet with optimum  healthy fat protein and carbs.  Avoid  deep fried fatty food and fast food. Yes this is hypothyroidism and it can cause these problems.
