Basically Pilomatricoma is a kind of benign tumour that happens in the follicles of the hair. It is a condition where there is a small and hard lump felt under the skin. It usually happens in the scalp but can occur in other body parts to, especially right under the skin. There are usually no signs and symptoms experienced but the patient can feel the lump or firmness of the tumour.

While the cause of Pilomatricoma is unknown, a Dermatologist diagnosis Pilomatricoma by conducting an ultrasound scan and X-ray. Often, a small biopsy is also performed to determine the cause of Pilomatricoma.
HOW IS PILOMATRICOMA TREATED?
Generally, it is recommended that the Pilomatricoma be cut out since they do not disappear by themselves and if completely removed, they may recur.
