An inflammation of the membranes that cover the brain and spinal cord is known as meningitis. This disorder can cause headaches and high fever. Seizures, stiff neck and a skin rash has also been observed in patients.
HOW IS MENINGITIS DIAGNOSED?
Diagnosis of the same would include complete blood tests, followed with urine samples, X-rays, CT scan and MRI too.
HOW IS MENINGITIS TREATED?
Bacterial meningitis needs immediate treatment with intravenous antibiotics as it can cause several health complications and can even be fatal. Patients with mild viral meningitis would be advised bed rest and medications to reduce fever.
