Genital injury is any form of injury that occurs to the private parts of a person, male or female. In some cases, injuries to the genital area itself are categorized as genital injury. This condition might cause a lot of pain to the affected person and bleeding can also occur. There are many reasons which cause injury to the organs or in that area and in children, it could even be self inflicted, by inserting some objects unknowingly. The symptoms reported include bleeding, abdominal and groin pain and so on.
HOW IS GENITAL INJURY DIAGNOSED?
Diagnosis of the same is done by a physical examination of the area by a Gynaecology expert. If needed a scan is also done.
HOW IS GENITAL INJURY TREATED?
The treatment is based on the nature of the injury. In certain cases it may require surgery to get back to normal and in many cases simple first aid would help. The aim is to stop the bleeding and avoid inflammation.
