Fibrosarcoma is a form of sarcoma or a very dominated kind of cell type, which is a malignant fibroblast. It mostly happens in animals but is seen in human beings too. Symptoms of the same include a lump, along with swelling, broken bones and increased urinary frequency too. Those suffering from the same would note that it is quite similar to the sarcoma of the bone.
HOW IS FIBROSARCOMA DIAGNOSED?
An oncology condition, fibrosarcoma may not be easily detectable. The doctor may associate the symptoms with other bone pathologies unless the symptoms seem persistent after treatment. A plan x-ray of the bone may help with the diagnosis. Identifying the location of the tumour will largely help in the treatment process.
HOW IS FIBROSARCOMA TREATED?
Correct diagnosis will help the treatment process. A biopsy is performed as the initial step in the treatment plan to adopt the right treatment approach. Surgical resection is the most common and standard treatment for fibrosarcoma. Chemotherapy and radiation therapy are other modes of treatment.
